"Love this book! It is so helpful and a great read"

I absolutely love this book! I could not put it down and read it all within three days. It has great structure, style and layout and is quite funny and light-hearted. Holly shares very useful and practical advice on things like feeding, sleeping patterns and even provides information and tips for once you have given birth. I wish i had this book for my first baby arriving, I downloaded a book on my kindle and it was too matter of fact that it actually scared me and I thought I wouldn't be a good mam so i ended up giving up half way through but Truly Happy Baby is great advice rather than telling you what to do. The content was all relevant and I didn't skip any sections, even though I feel confident with bringing a second baby up and not as clueless as with my first, it was great to read advice from another persons perspective especially by someone as down to earth as Holly Willoughby. I will definitely read it again closer to giving birth to my second baby to recap though. The only thing i was disappointed with is I thought there would be more tips on how to cope with more than one child with Holly being a mother of three. I would definitely recommend this book especially to first time mams.

"I wish I had this book first time around!"

This is the parenting book I wish I had read first time around. Many times when celebrities 'write' a book you don't get the impression it is their own words but in this case you can really hear Holly Willoughby's voice coming through. I picked this book up intending just to have a flick through and somehow ended up reading half of it in one sitting! The chapters are set out in an easy to read way and in a sensible order. I love the non judgemental tone of the book and it is the reassurance that so many women need to have. There is a lot of information in there and plenty of facts too, including a couple of mentions of scientific studies all designed to make a hormonal new Mum feel better about her insecurities. This was a fairly lightweight and easy to read parenting guide- I think it is perfect for a new baby gift and could be easily dipped in and out of. I would definitely recommend this and it is priced within the usual bracket you would expect for this type of book. I hope Holly Willoughby does a toddler version next!

"useful and Easy read"

I found this book very charming and felt it was a real heart to heart with mother. The chapters are broken down in to easy sections, feeding, sleeping, well being. lifestyle, looking after your self. With each chapter she also give some handy guide charts and discusses baby milestones which are very handy guide tools! I love how she is unbiased on parenting options for example breast or bottle, puree weaning or baby led. I wish I had this book before I had, had my son as it would have helped with feeding and sleep patterns which could have saved me some worry. New mums get this book!

"Mixed feelings"

I read this book with some mixed feelings as I thought it would be just another book giving out the same old stuff you get told and read about. However there were things in it that I didn't know despite being a second time mum. Its divided up into easy readable sections and doesn't come across in a biased or a 'you must do this' way. Holly understands that no 2 babies are the same unlike the information you receive from midwives etc (not saying they don't know what they are doing but they do have a one size fits all attitude) My two negatives would be that I thought there would be more about bringing up 2+ children, the book is more suited to people with their 1st child. The other is I was a bit gutted to find that despite her youngest having reflux, there wasn't much in it about it and my 2nd has reflux so it would've been a big help.

"Great book"

This book is great value for money. I read it through and although i am quite knowledgable about children I found a new way of looking at certain things. It's set out great and easy to understand and Holly certainly seems to know what she is talking about. Great size and a good quality book and I would definitely recommend this for any first time mum.

"Great little book"

After already having 2 children when I read this book I thought it would be a lot of rules and routines that were supposed to be followed strictly without taking into consideration the difference of babies, like a lot of baby books seem to. I did however find this a good read, lots of loose routines and alternatives and general guidance on how to aim to look after your baby, I think if I was a first time mom I would have found this book very helpful!
