Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottle

Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottle
TheBabyWebsite.com Rating

The Philips Avent Natural Glass Bottle is a high-quality bottle that’s easy to use and makes feeding time easy too. With a wide, natural shaped nipple and an anti-colic design, this bottle has great value for money.

Having a bottle that mimics the natural breast shape promotes natural latch on, while this might not be new to most baby bottles, the Avent bottle helps parents combine both breastfeeding and bottle feeding with ease.

This bottle is one of our top 5! Find out which the other 4 are here!

The nipple’s flexible spiral design is well combined with comfortable petals that allow for a natural flow of formula or milk. The nipples are also designed with Airlfex vent technology that stops them from collapsing and keep discomfort away from your baby’s tummy. Comfortable to hold and easy to put together, parents will love how simple it is to use this bottle. The wide brim design and Airflex technology keep the bottles from getting dirty with leftover milk.

Being dishwasher and microwave safe, this bottle has been designed for convenience. The biggest letdown for the Philip Avent bottle is the fact that it can leak. It may not be a common occurrence but parents should be aware that the lid tends to let liquids out. Another important note to consider is that this bottle is best for older babies. The milk flow can be too fast for newborns and the glass bottle is heavy for them to hold.

What we like

  • Multiple flow options: The bottle comes with newborn, slow and Smoothie pacifiers to suit your baby.

  • Affordable: Glass bottles tend to be more expensive but the Philip glass bottle is an affordable and quality purchase.

  • Durable material: A big worry is that glass can easily break. However, this is definitely not the case as they are thermal shock resistant.

  • Easy to clean: The nipple and bottle are wide enough to get into the nooks and crannies properly.

What we dislike

  • Prone to leaks: This may be the biggest downside as the milk can leak out of the lid.

  • Milk flow too fast for newborns: We’d recommend using this bottle once your baby is 6 months and better adapted to a faster flow.

  • Heavier for babies to carry: The glass is heavier than plastic or silicone and you will need to help your baby with the bottle.
