"Usefull when choosing food in stores"

It's now one of my must haves at home, cause it's usefull, when I need to check about the sugars, salt, and all other ingredients in my babys food, especially, when I'm doing shoping and reading the labels. That part i do like the best, although, there is a lot of information, how actualy deal with those little ones, who don't seem to be very easy to feed.

"Great Read"

A very good read. Easy to follow and understand, it helps to know your child is in the norm!! Its not really hellped me but I think it would have been a great help 9 years ago at weaning stage lol. I must pass this onto my sister as her second is weaning right now and he is much fussier than his sister.

"This book under-sells itself by the title..."

because if I saw it on a shelf and read the title I would assume its only designed for parents of children who have eating issues (plus would think it was for older children because of the picture). How very wrong I would be!!!! This book should also be aimed at parents with young babies at pre-weaning stage because it offers a lot of insightful advice and things to consider before you even start feeding your child. It was an enjoyable read and easy to follow. I now realise that my 2yr old is the same as any other, his occasional tantrums at meal-time are a normal reaction for a child of his age, and his pickyness toward most foods (unless they are junk or low in nutrition) and new foods are again a normal reaction from a 2yr old. At meal-times I find myself considering my reactions beforehand and I think far more calm and relaxed. OK no book will ever stop the annoyance I sometimes feel at having a lovingly cooked meal thrown at me with total refusal to eat, and of course sometimes my anger/frustration will show. But this book has helped me to understand the reasoning behind why my son sometimes acts as he does toward food and how is best to react in those situations. I would recommend this book to anyone with a baby up to junior school age children. A lot can be learned and it can help you to recognise whether there really is a problem (in which case sometimes further help needs to be sought) or whether your child is progressing through the normal phases of their life. The research documented offers understanding and reasoning. It would also be helpful to pass on to anyone else who looks after your child and is experiencing problems or feeling frustrated by their eating habits - i'm sure they will be surprised by some of the information. Definitely a helpful and interesting read for any parent! Thank you for the opportunity to product test this item! Hayley & Jayden x

"simple, easy reading"

my 2 year old is very limited in what he will eat this book as me me see that lots of kids are just like her. very easy to read book with large print, split into 10 different topics. lots of great simple encouraging ideas to help give your child a healthy diet. i did find the book a little repetitive but got some useful information from the book. reasonable price, but probably the sort of book i would try to borrow from the library.

"Very interesting Read"

I was a little sceptical of how this book would help me, as my daughter isn't particulary a fussy eater. However, the book was a very interesting read. It was in very simple English and the larger print made it quick to read. I feel it is a little costly for a paperback at £10.99, but it would be well worth the investment if you had a difficult eater The book is split into ten chapters, each addressing different eating topics. It's full of useful hints and tips and would be useful as a reference book should I come across any eating issues in the future.

well for all of you who dont know me i am a mum of 2 boys a 5 week old and a very fussy two year old with a milk allergy. when i first rec this book i did not think much of the way it looked and maybe a bit on the expensive side. but after reading it i would defo rec to friends its right too the point and gives great tips on healthy snacks also advice like a portion of something is the size of the persons hand it is for which really makes sense.it gives some good examples for a daily diet.it gives the top 10 tips to deal with fussy eaters which are great i am still trying with my son to eat and he seems a little better but these things take time as the book says i would defo recomend this book if you have a little fussy eater .

"A great help"

My Daughter has been a "Difficult Eater" since birth, spending 4 days in hospital after birth as she would not feed. After a nasty tummy bug at 7 months old she refused to eat anything with any texture and gagged on most things. Despite our best efforts and help from Health Visitors things weren't changing, until now.... This book really has been a God send to myself and my Wife and now we can really see a way forward. It has useful sections on nutrition, the importance of setting a good example and also deals with the other side of the story, overeaters. A really great FAQ section has been a excellent reference point. It gives also heathly alternatives for snacks and party food. This is a great little book and has been passed around at the wife's Mother and Toddler group. Well worth the £10.99 RRP Thank you

"Good quality information"

Having read this book it's been a revelation allowing you to "get inside" the kids heads and understand things from their PoV and why they won't try new things. We now have the confidence to address some of Williams eating problems and also the assurance to ignore the others as something he will grow out of and MOST importantly we are not alone in this. The book is easy to read and easy to understand with very little jargon. I would be more than happy to buy a copy of this book and will recommend to others

"A very clear and positive book"

This book is a very interesting read providing very helpful hints and tips in a very practical manner. The advice is helpful for all children not just for those who are difficult eaters. I would recommend this book to anyone who is experiencing difficult meal times and for those planning to wean shortly. The meal suggestions are realistic and easy to follow. It was great to read that my child's behaviour is common and for want of a better word, quite normal.
