10-12 chicken pieces (drumstick and thighs, etc, work best)
1 large onion -peeled and sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp paprika
20 - 40 cloves of garlic - peeled but whole

1. Place onion slices on the bottom of the slow cooker, then, in a large bowl, toss the chicken with the oil, salt, paprika, pepper and all of the garlic cloves.
2. Put all of this into the slow cooker on top of the onion, but do NOT add water. You could also put this in a casserole on the lowest setting.
3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours (or on high for 4-6).
4. This is really nice served with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Prepare everything the night before then just putop in the slow cooker or oven on low setting before going out in the morning!
