What should I pack in my hospital bag?

It is probably a good idea to start packing about two weeks before your due date to make sure that you're ready for your baby's arrival. There are often things that you wouldn't think about so we have done our best to put together a list for you. 

FOR MUM

  • 2 nightdresses
  • Slippers or flip-flops
  • Warm socks, 1 or 2 pairs
  • A few pairs of comfy knickers
  • Heavy-duty sanitary pads
  • A dressing gown (or shawl)
  • Breast pads, Nursing bras if choosing to breastfeeding, cream (for tender nipples) 
  • Phone and charger
  • Toiletries and cosmetics
  • Lip balm
  • A comfortable outfit to wear home
  • Body lotion or massage oil
  • Hospital file/notes
  • Birth plan (if you have one)

FOR BABY

  • 3 full-body onesies that fasten at the front
  • Mittens, hat and socks
  • Going-home outfit
  • Hat and blanket
  • Approx 10 nappies made especially for newborns
  • Baby Wipes designed for delicate newborn skin.

FOR YOUR PARTNER

  • Phone and charger
  • Snacks
  • Camera and charger
  • Change of clothes and some toiletries
