Marks And Spencer Have Launched A Very Special Range To Support Baby Loss Awareness Week

Marks and Spencer is launching a special candle and t-shirt to show their support for Baby Loss Awareness Week. The week runs from 9-15 October.

Designed by Marks and Spencer buyer Amy Mott, each item in the small collection shows a very meaningful logo which is a small red heart placed within a larger, hand-drawn one. The t-shirt comes in white or pink and it has the words “ever lasting” written in decorative calligraphy next to the logo.

The glass jar with the candle in it has the same heart design as the t-shirt does.

You can buy the t-shirts for £9.50 each and the candle is only £6.

The products are available to buy online only from marksandspencer.com from 29 September. The high street fashion store will also be donating £15,000 to help support Baby Loss Awareness Week, and are trying to encourage shoppers to light a candle and leave it burning for at least one hour to join those in remembering the babies who died too soon.

If you take part, please post a photo of your candle on social media, using the hashtag #WaveOfLight.

M&S buyer Amy has been personally affected by baby loss which is why she chose to design the beautiful collection.

Amy said she wants to encourage people to talk about baby loss during the awareness week.

She said: “Having been affected by baby loss, I wanted to break the silence around the issue and get everyone talking about baby loss during the awareness week.  “My design on the T-shirt and candle is a meaningful tribute of the everlasting love that is felt for a baby and can be worn in support of this fantastic platform that offers advice and acts as a support network.”
