The likes of Charlotte, Ashley, Lilly and William may all be perfectly lovely and normal British names, but they all get a little lost in translation overseas.

Or, more accurately, they've simply been banned in certain countries.

Countries such as Malaysia, Iceland, Portugal and Germany have lists of baby names which may be popular in the UK, but are strictly off-limits for parents in those parts of the world.
