"A bit dark for me"

I'm not usually a fan a fake tans, I have very pale skin and normally I find they give me a very unnatural colour. I don't really like having orange skin!!

Upon opening the He-Shi fake tan I noticed that the smell wasn't over-powering, but pleasant, which was nice. It made it a bit more pleasurable to apply. Application was easy and it absorbed into my skin quickly. The colour was good and uniform, with no patchy bits, but for me it was a bit dark and slightly orange.

I would recommend this to others, but to those with normal to dark skin. It is a lovely product, but just not for me.

"Nice product"

Well i have tried the usual brands of gradual tan before such as johnsons, garnier etc, but i do not use them regularly.

Anyway, i like this one, it was easy to put on, didn't get any patches, and was a nice colour.

The price is a bit higher than other brands i've used before but i think maybe its worth it for the quality and the nice finish.

"Great results"

I have tried many different types of fake tan and never really had much luck due to me having patchy dry skin. This product went on really easily with no streaking.

Once the colour was apparent it gave an even tone all over with no patchy marks on my dry skin. It was very easy to use with no horrible after smell and left my skin feeling soft and smooth.

I would buy this again as for the price its great value for money.

"A pleasing result , takes time to build up"

I found this product took quite a few applications before i see the result. It smelt rather pleasant and the glowing tan i eventually got was lovely.

"OK"

I'm not really a big fan of fake tan, I've never tried any before so was a bit dubious at first. I tested it on my legs and found that after about 5 days I gained a nice, even colour. It moisturised my legs really well too.

The smell was quite pleasant, not at all what I assumed fake tans smelt like.

As a freebie it was great, but I don't think that I would purchase it again. I think £14.50 is quite expensive. I doubt I'd be buying any fake tan products in the future either though.

I think the packaging was ok, but not extremely eye-catching. The name doesn't sound very appealing either. I think the packaging for products such as the johnsons self tan are much more attractive, however you can tell that this product is more pricey from its packaging.

It is an ok product, but it definately hasn't changed my attitude towards self tanning products...I think my legs will remain Lily white!

"WOW"

This is fab. I have never used a gradual tan that smells so lovely.
Ive used others but they seem to have that fake tan smell after a while. This is gorgeous.

It goes on well and the colour I received after 4 applications was great, no streaking either so another bonus.
I have recommended this product to lots of friends.

And my mum borrowed it before she went on a recent holiday she had also tried several other gradual tanners in the past but said this was the best one she has ever tried.

Loved it and will def be getting again.

"unexpected reaction"

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fully test this product as the first time I applied it, my whole face felt swollen and itchy. I did try it a second time as far away from my face as possible as I wasn't sure if it was a full body reaction or just something to do with skin sensitivity around my face. Although not as severe a reaction as the first time, I still felt a reaction to the product. I've never tried a tan in a bottle before, and don't normally have any problems with sensitive skin so I was very surprised at having such a reaction. Just never know what your body won't like.

"best tanning product ive used"

I found this product really easy to use. It smooths on great and being 8 months pregnant i needed it to blend in easy.
i loved the smell and my partner said i smelt like a jelly baby which is great as some fake tans smell awful.
after using it for 2 days i already noticed a difference and 4 days later i have a lovely colour for my night out with the girls.
its was the first time i was brave enough to apply fake tan to my face and im really happy to say i have no streaks and have a lovely colour.
it looks really natural and i have had comments from people asking about the product already. I think the bottle is a lovely size and worth the price.it looks like it will last a while.

"good product"

personally i'm not really that big on fake tan. however this one is definately better than the average tanning product. it's smells yummy & spreads on easily and after a few days it gives you a nice golden sort of tan instead of the orange colour that you get from the average high street tanner such as dove or johnsons .it also left my skin feeling nice & moisturised.

i do think the price is a little step for someone on a budget but if you are a fake tan fan then i'd say it is worth the price but i wouldnt buy it purely because i probably wouldnt use it

"V good product"

After having a good giggle about the name of this product, my fiance James actually decided to test this on my behalf!

He is more of a fake tan guru than me, using the high street ones such as Dove and Johnsons so was raring to compare them!

The product had a lovely smell (which i can vouch for!) it smells kind of sweetish/fruity which is a nice change from a more chemical type smell like other products.

The lotion soon came into affect after a few days and gave a really good colour on his legs and arms which looked natural rather than fake.

James had two criticisms about the product:

1: the cap to the bottle broke after the second time he used it, and he felt a screw cap would work better, and
2: the lotion was a bit too thin - it came out the bottle quite quickly and a few times squirted onto the bathroom floor

Apart from that a very good product, slightly higher priced than the highstreet ones, personally I am a stinge when it comes to toiletries and if i'm honest I wouldnt buy it again PURELY for the price, if it was cheaper then i'd happily swap to this brand!

Hope this helps everyone!

"Best gradual tan I have used!"

I was excited to test the He-Shi gradual tan because I am a big fake tan fan & I've tried most of the ones that are out there! First of all I thought the packaging was really nice & the bottle was a good size. I am always a bit dubious when I first use a new self-tanning product, as you never know what kind of colour it will turn & another thing is the smell! All of the fake tans I have used previously have always had a kind of biscuity smell to them, even the more expensive ones, and my fiance always comments on it!

I was very pleasantly suprised when I applied the he-shi gradual tan as it was a lovely consistancy & very moisurising, but the main thing I LOVE about this product is the smell. It reminds me of pineapple or something, a really nice smell, unlike any other self-tanning product I have used. It was very easy to apply, dried quickly & didn't stain my hands!

After using the he-shi gradual tan for 3 days I started to notice a lovely colour developing. It's a very natural colour & I even had people commenting on how tanned I looked!

I really love this gradual tan & I will definitely buy it again. It's by far the best gradual tanner I have used (and i've used a LOT! lol). It may seem a bit expensive, but i'd much rather pay that bit more for a product which, in my opinion, is a LOT better than any other out there! LOVE IT!!

"Good gradual tanner"

This is a good gradual tanner, which gave me a nice natural colour after 4-5 days. However, I've only used it on my legs as wasn't keen on using fake tan on my bump, but I think it would have the same effect everywhere!

When I first used it, the product came out quite quickly & didn't rub in that easily as I think I used too much, but once I got used to it, was fine. I also found it left my legs feeling nice & soft, so the moisturising part of it is obviously quite good too.

The smell is quite nice, & it doesn't smell nasty after application like some tanning products; I thought I could smell it a bit, but my husband didn't comment & he always does at any slight whiff of fake tan so it was probably just my overactive pregnancy nose!

I looked up how much this cost, & at £14.50 it is more expensive than Johnsons, Dove & those kind of products, though on a par with & possibly slightly cheaper than Clarins, Clinique etc. I may well buy it at full cost, though not sure if you can only buy over the web at the moment which makes it a bit less convenient.

I thought the packaging was OK; it reminded me it bit of actual tanning products such as Bergasol, but does look quite different from other gradual tanners. I wasn't sure about the name - I'm assuming its targeting men aswell as women, & it probably does do this but I thought it was a bit of a gimmicky name.

Overall though, the product is pretty good!

"Decent Product"

After Trying many self tans at home I was pleasantly surprised with He Shi. The smell was gorgeous and it wasnt clacky unlike some others I have used before. It was easy to use (I got my Boyfriend to rub it on) and the instructions were clear to understand. The tan itself was a good overall coverage not orange but 'sunkissed'. I think the product is worth buying and it made me feel better because I looked better.

"Fab product!"

I was very impressed with the he-shi gradual self tan. Ive got fair skin and usually find self tanning products make my skin look a bit orangy. Not this time! It's a lovely product that doesnt smell like self tan at all! It actually smells nice! Its easy to apply thanks to the build in moisturisers. You also dont need to use much of it because it spreads so well. Will probably last a long time. Would defenitely recommend it, especially if you've got fair to normal skin.

"Finally a decent tan!"

Fantastic product! I was dubious about using it at first because I am very fair and every time I have applied fake tan (or had it done professionally) I have come out looking orange and totally unnatural. This product is the first i have tried where the results look natural. Compared to other gradual tanners it is also far better; its fast acting and really moisturising which gives the added bonus of no dark marks around dry skin areas.

Smells great, goes on easily, absorbs fast, leaves no fake tan lines (around ankles and knees) leaves skin soft and makes my white pins look lovely and tanned. At last a fake tan that does what it’s supposed to!

"So easy to use..."

The he-shi gradual tan is packaged nicely and the name is very easy to remember, i ready the instructions and it is very easy to use to i have only used it on my legs seeing as im due to have third baby in 10 days but it went on great didnt streak and made my skin feel lovely i have used it for about 7 days now and i have a lovely natural looking tan on my legs. I would definately say this is good value for money and even my son and his girlfriend are eyeing it up seeing as the weather is so unpredictable, would definately recommend this product to friends and family and i havent really found any negative points about it upto now.

"nice product"

I am always trying different tanning products. But not one product i have tried smells as nice as he-she. It smells great! He-shi is also quick and easy to use. It rubs into your skin hassle free. I found after 3-4 days i had a nice glowing tan. Hi-shi also has added moisturizer which i found successful. I like the name He-shi as it is easy to remember. I found the packaging appealing to people. I do think this is value for money. I would recommend to others.

"Excellent Product"

I have used quite a few self tanning products and found the he-shi gradual tan brilliant. I found the name of the product very original and easy to remember and I liked the way it was packaged.
As I am a busy mum of two I need a tanning product that is easy and fast to apply, and this one ticked both of the boxes. It was very easily absorbed and I noticed a difference within a few hours. After a week of applying the product, I now have a beautiful, natural colour, which I am really happy with.
I would definately recommend this product and I will definately be using it again. It is also very good value for money.
