"I have a new love!!!" We needed a new family car after mine gave up the ghost. So we started trawling the internet for what we wanted. WE knew it had to be 7 seats as we would like possibly one more child. It also had to be big enough to fit 3 carseats across the back while not looking like a mini bus and also having boot space big enough for my double pram, camping stuff and general apparel that comes with 3 children under 3 1/2yrs.So with that nearly impossible task we searched and searched. All the other 7 seaters either had seats that had to be physically removed which we dont have room for or we had to stick with a 5 seater for the big boot space. Then we found the Zafira!! It seemed too perfect so we went to see one in real life. It was good that we bought it!! The car is superb, lots of room for everyone and my eldest likes the novelty of sitting in 'the back back' as he calls it.Even with one of the boot seats up there is still room for my double pram. The boot is huge so our camping trips can continue although I dont know how they will be affected if another addition comes along. However until then The Zafira definetly ticks all the boxes for us! "A GOOD DRIVE" We discovered I was pregnant for the 4th time and new we had to get a new bigger car. Off we went and ended up getting the Zafira.
It was so strange to drive at first and I felt like I was in a large van and felt so high up but I was soon used to that. The drive home was smooth and the kids loved it at first site and the boys would have slept in it that night.
We had the eldest in the boot and the other seat down so it was our boot for our weekly shopping. The 2 younger boys were in the middle with a gap so they could not fight.
Ruby then arrived and she is now in the middle with a forward facing seat and there is still our boot space and all kids have plenty of room.
The back seats go up and down with ease and can be done very quickly. When the seats are down there is a massive space for shopping trips.
To be honest #5 is due now adn I am worried that as a family we will never get out again! The thing I hate most is that once all the seats have bums on we will have no boot space at all. So we wont be able to go out with all the kids, double buggy and changing bag for 2 babies and everything else you need to take on a day out with 5 young kids.
Next step is to get a roofbox before #5 comes so we can still get out and about.
Overall a fantastic car and a smooth drive. Member review by Gillian - mum2four&pinkbump :-)

"How did we ever survive........" ......those long trips down south?!!
We bought our Zafira a few months after we discovered there was going to be an addition to the family. Our old car was a Nissan Sunny, a reliable wee thing, but going to visit friends and family in Bucks (we're in Scotland) was getting a bit squashed for our three growing kids, so a new car was on the cards anyway. Now we just needed one with an extra seat!!
When I first got into it it felt like I was driving a minibus! Took a bit of getting used to, but the fact that the seat height can be adjusted is a great bonus (seeing as I'm 5'3" on a good day, and hubby's just under 6').
At first we didn't need the 'boot seats' as the three kids all fitted comfortably in the back, even on that family & friends trip. With both 'boot seats' down there was ample space for all their paraphernalia (and ours!!) We even managed all our holiday gubbings plus my hospital bags and baby car seat when we went to Scarborough at the beginning of July (baby was due 16th July and I wasn't taking chances!!) We gained a rather large cuddly gorilla (thanks to Rheiya's bingo ability!!)and he was ceremoniously shoved in with his bum against the back window!!
Jaidyn arrived 2 days late and time for the 'boot seats' well, one of them at least! Jaiydn in her car seat in the back with Elijah next to her in the middle (luckily she's taller than the required 135cm for a booster!!) and Rheiya in her booster with Lucas and booster in the boot. This arrangement still left a bit of space for 'stuff'!!
Now it's time for Jaidyn to move into a forward facing carseat, so Elijah & Rheiya are being shoved in the boot and Lucas will be beside his sister. A roofbox is now required and I now have to remember that the car is taller now, when looking for a car park!!
Over all it's one smart family car and we wouldn't be without it, even if the ASDA delivery van bashed it (so we spent nearly £500 getting a drive put in) and some stupid idiot hit the back bumper in a car park!!!
