"Worst Bath Toy Ever!"
We were really excited by the VTech Splash & Learn Duck as we love bath time but only had basic squeezy or tipping toys, nothing that flash or played tunes.
The VTech Splash & Learn Duck has been the most disappointing toy we have bought or received in my daughters 14 months.
It really is useless, it would not stay upright or float for more than 15 seconds. Once it sinks you can't hear a word it says. It keeps saying 'Put me in the water' it should follow up with 'so i can sink'.
Please do not waste your money on this product it is really no use for bath time at all. Even my daughter shook her head & said no when her dad asked if she wanted it in the bath to play with and she has only just started saying no last week!

"Not at all what it's quacked up to be"
I'm a huge fan of VTech and was really excited about the splash and learn duck. Unfortunately it just didn't live up to expectations and was a huge disappointment.
The duck did not float in the water and either lurched forwards or backwards, eventually ending up face down in the water, this meant that for most of the time the sounds that were coming out of the duck were completely muffled.
The water sensor didn't seem to work very well either so the duck was singing rub a dub dub put me in the tub when it was already there and was singing about splashing in the water when it was out of the water.
The duck is also quite heavy for little ones to lift up and handle and Theo lost interest in it after about 5 minutes.
I think it is a good concept and I like the idea of having a light up toy in the bath but I think a lot more thought needs to go into the design. The only good thing I can say about it is that is looks like it will be really durable and is of the high quality that I associate with VTech. This leaves me with a problem with what to put for quality because although it is well manufactured it doesn't do what it says on the box, which is why i've marked it as a one.
The toy retails for around £10 and in it's current state I would say that you would be better off buying a rubber duck which does at least float, and keeping this one to play with out of the bath.
