"A great toy that kids will come back to time and again" What we liked about this toy was that Tom, our son, has learnt his way around it. At the start the colours, music, phrases, and buttons overwhelmed him rather and his first morning’s play almost threw him into a delirium. But gradually he, and we, have learned the method behind getting the most out of this ride on toy.
First: the bike. This is easy to assemble and is easy to dismantle, especially as you can reverse the ‘wheels’ so that it is either a roll around toy or a static rocking one. The electronic front panel can also be removed if you wish to turn the toy into a simple first bike for scooting around the furniture. For a piece so sturdy it is surprisingly light and although it’s bright primary colours aren’t going to feature in the next edition of ‘Serene Houses Monthly’ toddlers will love the look.
The removable electronic front panel (mimicking a car’s dashboard) features a variety of lights, instructions, songs and alphabet games and at first these merely get in the way of each other. Most toddlers I know flap their hands as though they are being constantly threatened by hordes of invisible spiders and this doesn’t sit well with such a sensitive panel. Still, over the course of the month Tom has grown to love this more and more and is gradually learning which sounds he likes best. The pronunciation is impeccable and puts my Welsh strains to shame but why no volume control?
Price:
For £40 this is pricey and the initial response from your little one could be disappointing. But stick with it because this is a great toy that kids will come back to time and again. Member review by dave - dad
