"Enjoyed by 5 year old"
My son aged 5 has reviewed this product for me and he gives it a big thumbs up. For those of you who are not sure what this is, it's a games console that works with a wireless controller that is motion sensitive. I decided to plug it into the TV for him and then see if he could work out how to use and it and he did, so I would say this product is very easy to use. Once switched on he worked out how to use the main menu of the game (Action Mania) which comes with the system and worked his way through all of the different games available.
The game claims to be educational and it is as there are maths and spelling games. He worked out how to play these games. There is also a demonstration on the screen as to how to use the controller ie to move the game character to the left, tilt the remote to the left.
Price wise, I would say the RRP for this is about right for the system as it is quite advanced in it's technology for a child's game system. I like the setup of the console itself as there are two separate buttons for on and off and they are obvious which one is which. Again, my son was able to work out how to turn it off himself once he had finished. There is also storage for 9 games in the top of the console which I think is a really good idea as it means that all games for it can be kept together.
I think it is really good for 5-7 year olds but maybe not as easy to use for anyone younger. One of the main downsides would be that it is battery operated so could get through a lot of batteries if it's played often. Also the remote has a separate off switch so if the player forgets to turn this off the battery life will deminish.
