"Wouldn't buy but worth reading"
I'm always sceptical of 'parenting' books. After all my eldest is 14, youngest is 3, so I've been there, done that and bought the T-shirt in most situations lol.
But this book was slightly different in it's approach to other books trying to 'teach' you how to raise a happy family. There were multiple choice questions on each chapter which helped to point out whether you needed to work on a lot of things or just a few to make your family life run more smoothly. But to be honest whose family life runs smoothly all of the time?
Some of the points raised in the book were fairly obvious and most people would do them automatically although there was some great tips on how to handle certain situations. As I said not one to buy, but certainly one to borrow from a friend or the library.

"Good Read "
This book was quite interesting it did give some good points and made me think about how I handle things with my girls, since reading it I have tried to stay more calm when dealing with certin situations sometimes I used to get a bit stressed and didnt realise the girls picked up on it.
It is a handy book to have but like others said dont know if Id actually go out and buy it. Its not the type of book I usually go for but Im glad I received it. I find myself going back to it on a regular basis for tips etc.

"worth reading"
When i received this book i thought it would tell me where i'd been going wrong with my little darlings.
The basic gist is that your child learns from you by watching and imitating you. You have to think what kind of mum(parent) you want to be and try to acheive it. It's some common sense and some tricks to help. It is rather idealistic and for busy parents it's not always easy to stop and look in mirror to say your mantra
( mine was i'm a fun mum not a frantic mum!!)
It doesn't really teach you anything you don't already know but it is agood read and some parts make you stp and think about what you are doing and why yourchild behaves as it does.
Don't know if i'd go and buy it,but i did enjoy reading it

"Don't rush out and buy this"
Although my little man is still quite young, I have been looking at these types of books to try and get some ideas. I have got to say I think the book to look at is quite impressive but I really do not think that the information provided was realistic in today hectic life. In my opinion worth a look but thats all

"Not for everyone but worth a read!"
What the book says..."You are your children's first role model and every day is an opportunity to make a real difference to their lives. Whether your child is two, ten or a 'teen', parent-coaching techniques can soon build your confidence and skills. Essential reading for busy mums, this book written by the UK's leading parenting expert provides practical advice and simple three-step skillbuilder stratergies that will have long-lasting positive effects".
To be honest this isn't the type of book that I would normally go out and purchase. I know I am one of my little girls role models and would always want to show positivity and direction in her life. However, this book has very practical ideas on parenting which I guess in the modern busy life-styles we live in are often over-looked.
The book focuses on ten specific skills:
1. I am my child's number 1 role model
2. I am positive about discipline
3. I am a calm mum
4. I am a great listener
5. I am fun and not frantic
6. I am a stress manager
7. I am a confidence booster
8. I am a motivating leader
9. I am a feel good mum
10. I am the mum I want to be
Although named the "mummy" coach.. my partner has dipped into this book and don't think it's just for mums!
We live in an era where being this superwoman Mummy seems to be the norm and if we are not this so called "superwoman" then we are failing are children. This book gives some reassurance and different ideas on how to be the best Mummy for your child.. and who cares what other people think, being a Mum is the hardest job in the world!
Not for everyone but worth a read!
