"Wouldn't say this is something i would go for!"

I have had look through the book, its not really my cup of tea.

I'd say this is for sexual couples rather than bringing back the intimacy after having a child.

Personally its not a book i would buy, but if i had of brought it i think i would be disappointed, i feel that i already know most of the information that's in there.

I doubt i will pick up the book again??

"Thought Provoking!"

I was quite suprised when I recieved the book and at first was a little reluctant to take look. I was pleasantly suprised and picked up quite a few tips. The cover is nice and bright with interesting photo's! - my son picked it up to have a look and I quickly removed it from his grasp !

Really positive for couples that have lost their way a bit and need to reconnect.

Buy it if you want to add a bit if spice to you life!! Worth the money.

"... Not something I'd buy"

I found the book to be aimed far more towards a couples sexual intimacy than to the emotional intimacy - most of the book was dedicated towards the sexual side - which I though was a shame.

Again the sexual intimacy side was done well but was nothing 'new' so to say most of the ideas, position etc given were quite standard that most people would have probably done themselves.

It would have been alot more informative if as much information on the emotional side had been given.

The book itself was well written and attractive to look at - I found all the images to be very tasteful

I wouldn't pay the guide price of 16.99 for this.

The book for me personal would have been more aptly titles the book of Sex - a guide to sexual intimacy,

I received the book and was a bit suprised really.

The book itself had quite a lot of useful information and I did pick up a few little tips ;)
I think the book would be perfect for a new couple or a couple who were looking for some new ideas.
The book would definately catch your eye on the shelf, with its hot pink cover. Not sure I would pay the £16.99 for it though.

I'm sure the information would come in useful to some couples, but not really for me.

"Not my cup of tea i'm afraid"

I got given this book to review. It's not something I would normally buy to be honest, but I had a look with an open mind.

The first impressions were good. A nice bright colour (hot pink) & bold, clear text. Something that would definitely stand out on a bookshelf. The contents page is good too, breaking down each chapter so you can go straight to the page you want.

The problem started for me though when I started reading. I think to put couples into only a few categories doesn't really work. I think a more generalised approach may have been better. Just because you haven't been together long, doesn't mean to say you don't know much about one another. I must say I'm a bit sceptical with this kind of thing anyway. I think couples need to go along at their own pace & learn things in their own time. I think that's half the fun of a relationship, finding out new things about one another!

Most of the book was about sex & sexual positions. I am not claiming to be any kind of sex goddess (lol) but I do know all of these positions & I'm sure quite a lot of other people do. Most of the book is common sense really, but I suppose if a really inhibited couple were needing any help in the bedroom it may be useful, although you can find most of this info on the web!

Also I thought the photos are very tastefully done & the wording is easy to follow, so if you were to buy this book & needed some tips to spice things up, it wouldn't be a bad purchase!

All in all not for me, but it may be useful to some couples.

"some good tips"

This book would catch your attention if you were looking at the relationships section in a book shop as the cover is a very bright pink.

The book is split into sections for various issues, there is even a s&m section for trying new things.

There are lots of pictures and tips to browse.

I think this book is quite good, though most of what it contains is stuff I already know.
Good for a new couple

"Basic and misleading"

I think that the title of this book is very misleading. It claims to be a 'couple's' guide, however, the bulk of the advice given in it seems to be aimed at women, and not to both sexes. The title of the book is 'The Book Of Love, Every Couple's Guide to Emotional and Sexual Intimacy', however, there is little information or advice given on how to emotionally connect as a couple. Any information that is given is largely basic, uninformative
(it won't tell you anything you don't already know), and very generalised. It assumes that all couples fit into certain catagories, which in turn, collectively form the 'complete' couple, which isn't the case at all. There is very little advice or information on being a couple, and around 3/4 of the book itself is just based on sex, sexual positions, and general tips on spicing things up in the bedroom.

I don't think this is a book for a serious and long-term couple due to the sheer lack of depth, it certainly wont cure any marital problems. However, perhaps it would be better suited to a relatively new couple, that want to give their relationship a sense of direction in the bedroom, or a happy couple that just want to spice up their sex life.

"An easy read"

This isn't the kind of book i'd buy but i've had a read of it. If I was in a shop looking for a book on sex and relationships I think this one would grab your attention with it's shocking pink cover and bold title. It's a modern book which is easy to read cover to cover or just to dip into the clearly defined chapters. I think it would be helpful if you were having relationship problems, you couldn't help but find some pointers as it's so packed full of observations and advice whilst as the same time it's not too deep or intellectual. There are lots of (interesting!!) ideas and photographs to guide you in spicing things up a bit in a bedroom - or outside of it if you read that chapter. My summary would be that it's a bright and appealing book, with tasteful pictures and easy to read chapters, all at a reasonable price.

"informative"

This is not normally the type of book i would read but i did have a quick read. I have to say that my partner took quite a shine to it though, so to be honest this reveiw is based on what he has said. He did say that he found it quite informative as it wasn't just aimed at sex but also on general body issues. Plenty of images and could be useful to add a little spice into a relationship.
