'Teething Bling
4 out of 5
based on 36 user review(s).

Babies love to grab and chew. For that reason, most mums don't wear jewellery when their children are young. Teething Bling® is the original teething jewellery and is made from the same material as most teething toys.

"Bring on the bling!!"

My baby loved this product and as he always has something in his mouth it was reassuring to know this was safe. I think there should be more choice in this range to match with different clothing but over all I think it's great. It's something you can always have with you and is close to hand. The only thing is I often end up taking it off and just giving it to him!

"not for me :("

Overall the product was nice and a very good idea. However this is something that I wouldn't wear. I'd prefer to take a teeth toy out with me instead of wearing the necklace. Having said that the product was well made and the actual ring was very strong and secure so gives gives confidence that a baby would chew it and you wouldn't have to be worried.

"not for me"

I was quite disapointed when i got it put of the packaging!!.

It looked pretty cheap, with the type of cord that was used and i wasn't too sure about the disc either.

Gave it a bash with my son(and again like other people), he just seemed to pull on it to get to the cord and the fastner at the back dug into my neck, he didnt like the ring at all really, just the cord.

For what the item is at over £10 for the pendant i think its well over priced, i wouldn't recommend this at it's current price bracket.

The concept is a good idea but needs more thought put into the materials used.

"Great idea.. "

My son enjoyed chewing on the teething bling. I think it's value for money and I would buy it at its rrp. It is not something I would choose to wear style wise but maybe I would buy it in a different design.

I think it is a good idea, just the style of it is not to my personal taste!

"50/50"

I think its a great concept idea, as Chloe was always pulling/sucking on my Neckwear.Although to say its ok to chew 1 necklace but not another could be very confusing .
It looks ok but not something i would pick.
The retail price is a little high for what it is , the string thats used looks cheap and another downside is that it cant be adjusted. therefore its not something i would buy off my own back.
Chloe liked it initially and chewed the pendant but eventually took to the string more!

"Great idea"

I thought the idea was great, my little girl is 6 months and chews everything. She really liked it. For me, I wouldn't wear it as jewellery so defeats the purpose as the cost is so much more than traditional teether. It was a great distraction for when whipping a load of toys out isn't practical. Would be a lovely gift. Something a bit different.

"Interesting idea"

But not perfect execution for me. I really like the idea of this. I love my jewellery and have really missed being able to wear big chunky necklaces in the last few months! The chord that the 'bling' is on does look cheap and doesn't sit nicely around the neck. You can't adjust the size of it which is a real shame. My son was curious about it but didn't really chew it much, to my surprise.

I also think that on reflection it's probably not a great idea for your baby to think it is normal to chew on mums necklace! Mixed feelings!

I am interested in trying the bangle option as they look to be a better option for me personally. They look better than the necklace. Maybe some fine tuning would be in order for these to really take off!

"stylish and useful"

I was happy to get the teething bling necklace as ive had to stop wearing my jewelry due to my son either breaking it or putting it in his mouth. I thought that this is a great product as hes teething badly at the minute so gives him something to chew that is safe for him to do so, so longs as he doesnt pull to hard on it i generally find it ok to wear. It is quite stylish to wear so doesnt look stupid when im wearing it, Ive had friends say oh your baby shouldnt chew your jewelry and they are amazed once i tell them that its designed for just that.

"Not too sure"

When I saw the product I thought it was a great idea. However my baby did not take to it at all. She was more interested in the string than the pendant.

"Not a winner"

I did not like this item, when worn my son pulls on the necklace and the fastener at the back digs in my neck.

When the necklace is taken off my son wants to play with it and i am not comfortable with that incase he hurts himself on the cord.

"Great idea"

I was very excited to get this product, as I so miss wearing necklaces as my baby pulls on them all the time.
And my baby certainly loves it, although it could be improved upon.
It looks a bit cheap, especially the necklace cord - this could be in more of a ribbon perhaps and different colours.
Also I find it a bit plain and would prefer more beads as well as the disc.

"A good idea "

I think this is a really good idea, my 10 month old daughter certainly took a liking to it. I personally wouldnt wear it out & about as I don't really wear jewellery like this. But it is something I would pop in the changing bag & take out with me for her to play with. I think this would make a nice 'different' gift for someone who has a young baby, it is nicely packaged. Overall I would say it is a good product & is reasonably priced just isn't really for me.

"Great idea!"

This item is fab! My 1 year old is always trying to eat my necklaces and this as really helped! It looks like a regular necklace but helps his teething so it's well worth the money.

I also like the look of the other items in the range, I might get a bracelet too!

I have also found that if you have to take your little one out and sit somewhere for a while it will give them something to do, so hopefully no more wriggling.

"Great for teething"

I have tried most products on the market for teething, ellie loves to pull my necklaces so I think this is a great item to have. I also find it distracts her when we are out so I don't have to remember to take additional items.
I wasn't so keen on the black rope but I do understand that it needs to be on something that can be chewed upon!

"Genius concept, some niggles though"

'Genius', I thought, when I first heard about this product; 'how can it not work?'. In short, this is a fantastic Idea but needs a few tweaks to make it worth the investment.

I cannot argue with the concept; as in my title, I think it's genius. Sometimes the simplest things are the most effective and this was most certainly a winner with Francesca, almost 6months. It grabs her attention, is easy for her to hold and she thoroughly enjoys chewing it.

Fit for purpose, yes.....but unfortunately, for the retail price, I would expect a little more quality.

The string is very, very cheap - and cheap looking. The clasp is very, very cheap - and cheap looking. And you cannot adjust the length of the string.

Maybe 2 changeable discs in differing designs/colours in each pack would make it more attractive at the current price, or maybe the price could be slashed to half with just the single disc provided.

All in all, a great invention with masses of potential to sell by the bucket load......if at the right price.

"great value for money"

The teething Bling is great! It is so easy to use, just as a piece of jewellery, being nice and trendy you can wear it as an accessory not just as a teether.
It does the job perfectly as baby's especially my little girl loves to chew on necklaces!
The Bling has a great appearance and i would say is great value for money. My little girl really likes it and it looks great too.
I would definately buy another one!

"not for me..."

I think the product is packaged well and the teething part looks good quality - i don't think my baby would break it or bite through it easily. The price i think is a little high if you think of it as just a teething product but its reasonable as it is a necklace aswell.

I wasn't that keen on the look of it as i'm not into jewellery made with black rope and the ring i had was green colour - my mum made the comment it looked like i had a supersize spearmint polo round my neck. I would definitly prefer it if it was patterned and perhaps a different shape then the black rope would not be so obvious. I think its a good idea but my baby didn't take to it that much, he's just turned one and has all his front teeth and he's currently getting his molars so didn't do much for him, would probably have been better a few months ago or if it was a different shape to help reach the molars. I would also be concerned if he took to this necklace really well he would then think he can bite all my jewellery. Not a huge hit with either me or my baby but would look into this jewellery range again so see if they have more designs in the future.

"Great for young babies"

This product comes in a range of designs and looks fab on, and could be brought to match any outfit.

For me having an 11 month old found that he wasnt really interested in using it as a teether, but I tried it to see what he thought of it. But ended up wearing it just as a piece of jewellery.

It would be better for a baby who wouldnt be able to pull it off your neck as it has a snap clasp and for a baby who is just coming into the teething stage.

All in all this is a fab product and I would reccomend it to other mums to try.

"Good idea but best for younger"

I think these are a brilliant idea as my one year old loves chewing my necklace, however, as it has a safety catch this is useless for using with him as one pull and its off of my neck! Would be ideal for a younger baby who isn't so strong!

"great idea"

I think that this product is a great idea. I really like the design and the range of colours.

My baby took to using this product very well and it seemed to keep her entertained and is good for her sore gums as she is teething.

Although i think this is a great product it seems to have caused a bit of an issue, where my daughter now thinks that it is ok to chew on any necklace that i am wearing.

I believe that this is a great idea for mums just wanting to wear the teething bling range, but i feel it can cause problems for mums wanting to wear other necklaces on other days.

Overall, this is a great idea and would recommend it to other mums

:-)

"Wish I'd thought of it"

When I was told about this product, it was one of those damn i wish I'd thought of that moments! When I received it and had a good nosey at it I couldn't get over the simplicity of the idea yet the style that it displayed. I am not someone who wears a lot of jewelery and would never usually wear something like this. I would be more likely to wear a simple chain than a jade coloured stone on a rope but despite this I really love it! Dominic wasn't so sure to begin with choosing to ignore it. In actual fact Izzy was more intrigued by it trying to show Dominic what he was meant to do. She even took to pinching it to wear for her dollies!

A week on and Dominic has gotton used to this and chooses to grab and play with it. He hasn't quite grasped how to keep it in his mouth but he certainly drools all over it. The bling also helps keep his attention while I am feeding him and I don't look like a complete wally wearing something to keep his inquisitive brain occupied while he is feeding.

The material itself is a lovely colour, mimicking jade exactly. I didn't expect it to feel rubbery but it's just the same as many teethers on the market. I personally haven't put it through the dishwasher and would be concerned about the rope though I suspect on closer examination I would be able to remove this for washing.

My only complaint would be that you can't adjust the size. I am tall and have a long body, but this still fell right in the centre of my boobs. My sil is very short and I suspect this would hang at her belly button. My preference would have been to have it hang slightly higher (but then it probably wouldn't be fashionable there either).

This is a fantastic product for those yummy mummies out there and an excellent opportunity for folks like me to aspire to yummy mummy-ness. Izzy, Dominic and I would certainly give the teething bling the thumbs up!!

"Mixed Feelings"

The product is well packaged, high quality and attractive. Its also good value for money but I'm just not convinced on the concept for me.

As someone who wear necklaces every day I thought at first this was a great idea. Like many mums, I suffer with my toddler continually pulling, biting and often breaking my necklaces.

The problem is that if I let my little one chew this necklace how can I tell him to leave my other necklaces alone? For me personally I think the concept just doesn't quite work.

If you are happy to wear just your Teething Bling necklace or only wear necklaces ocassionally then this could be great. If you want to change your necklaces each day then you either have to buy a number of these or accept increased wear and tear on your normal necklaces.

"A total must have item for all mums "

Having 4 children I found this item totally brilliant for a teething baby! I wish they had something like this when my first was born. Not only do they look fashionable and very on trend at the moment, they serve a purpose...a fantastic way to purchase new jewelery without hubby having a moan that I'm frittering away pennies on stuff not needed. BONUS!

"very good product for teething, easy to carry around if you want to wear it!"

This product is very good for teething, however its not something i would wear as jellewery.

It fits easy into my daughters mouth its not to bulky like some teethers.

I would recommend it and if you like it enough to wear as a necklace then thats even a better buy.

"fab"

When this product arrived i was amazed at how good it looked. it was in nice clear packaging and looked very stylish. when i took the teething bling necklace out it was on a long black string with a graphite textured green look to it, i loved the round shape almost like a big spearmint polo, and it looked very stylish. you wouldnt guess its a teething necklace at all, and wasnt heavy at all and kept my 11 month old amused for ages. if he pulled it to hard it would release.

i wish i had one with my first son. its good for wriggly babies to as my son tends to try and roll over when i change his bottom but i slip the necklace off and it keeps him still and amused.

my mother doesnt have any young children but she ordered one because she loved the look of it. i think it suits most outfits and does not look silly which is important to me.

this product is a must have i think it is brilliant and stylish and good value for money. i thought i wouldnt be able to wear nice jewlery with a young child but now i can and and i am very happy. i am going to get some other colours to go with different out fits
Pendants are £12.95 and Bangles are £8.95. there are different shapes and colours availabe you just put a request in and there do them for you and you can get scented or unscented.
a must have for all mums

"Little one loves it"

This product was given the royal seal of approval in a matter of seconds - he loves playing with it and chewing on it. It's quite useful as a distraction that's easy to keep handy when you're out and about too.

Pendant is attractive to wear and is useful for him to play with when he's in the sling, which is saving my hair and it's safe for him to play with when he's on my back due to the safety catch which releases if he pulls too hard.

"good idea in concept"

lovely looking product. my son used it as he has 4 teeth cutting 1 at the front and 3 at the back. unlike some teethers he could still use this for his back teeth. the only thing was when i then wore another necklace my son thought it would be okay to chew that too. at 11 months he found it hard to understand why he couldnd chew my other neckalces so i adapted the teething bling to be a bracelet he could wear so he had it on hand to chew as and when needed.

"Great Product"

I was very excited to receive this product as jewellery has been a thing of the past for the last few months since having my baby boy. The product was well packaged and doesn't look like a ring of plastic at all. The quick release clip on the back is very good for if baby tugs to hard. My baby has only just started teething but seemed to like the feel of this on his gums and I am sure he will get lots of use out of it. It will be very handy to wear and not have to worry about remembering to take a teether out with us.

"A real treat for mum"

I love this product and it has got to be one of the most practical indulgences I have had for a while! It certainly doesn't look like a teething ring as most of my friends can testify when they looked horrified at my little boy sinking his gums into my nice necklace, as a result I don't feel self conscious when wearing it and so wear it most days. Tom likes to use it as a soother too and will often just sit on my knee chewing away until he falls asleep - I can't believe I didn't have one for my first! I am going to buy this for my friend who is expectiing, it has to be one of the 'must' buys for new mums - a great product and highly recommended.

"Fabulous idea"

I have the vanilla bean pendant. It is really easy to use. It is good value for money when really you are getting 2 products in one. I love how it looks and am quite happy to wear it out during the day, as it saves taking a teething ring out and I think its quite stylish. I love the idea that the pendant has a scent to it but don't think that it smells very much of vanilla, maybe thats because its vanilla bean, and having googled vanilla there are different types that smell different.
My son seems to love it but the only downside is that it seems to make him dribble alot more which I guess he would be doing anyway at this stage.

I would definitely recommend this product and will be taking mine on holiday with me as I think it will also save space in my suitcase.

when this arrived i was right away blessed with it, the item looks very fashionable, nice long length,

i dont often wear necklaces at the mo due to my daughter pulling on them and trying to eat them but this was so easy to use and she loved it, it kept her amused for ages,

i would buy it at the normall rrp and would recommend to any parent, the range of colours they offer is good to and that u can get bangles to match is fab too,

the quality of the item is fab,

"bling-bling"

It is true that babies always go for Mum's jewellery, that's why I don't wear anything valuable. TeethingBling is designed for babies to grab and chew. On the plus side it is made of the same material as many toys designed for teething and is lead free and non-toxic.
On the minus side, it doesn't look like a semi-precious stone it is supposed to imitate. Mine is a jade imitation. As someone who grew up in a family making jewellery, all I can see is a cheap-looking plastic version of a stone. The idea of this pendant might be a good one, but in reality it looks cheap, sorry. I might wear it at home to keep my baby entertained, but I wouldn't want to be seen wearing it outdoors. I would rather wear no jewellery at all, than a big plastic ring.

"So Handy"

Just by looking you would not know this was a teething product as it is very fasionable but my little girl loves it. The different colours it comes in makes it appeal to everyone.

Helps when i am out and about or sat somewhere and need the little one to be quiet.

It is also comfortable to wear and you dont feel you are wearing it for the purpose of your child until you need it for that purpose lol.

Would recommend it to everyone who has a child that is teething.

"Love it"

I didn't know these existed when I had my first child (perhaps they didn't?? would have stopped him breaking my good necklace!).
I Love it and more importantly my 7 month old loves it. I used to carry teething toys in my changing bag (Taking up more room) but not anymore I just wear it round my neck. My little man loves it and I think its because he thinks he shouldn't be doing it so gets very excited.
Would recommend it to anyone (Only 1 negative is that the necklace gets covered in dribble so much after a good chew but can live with that)
