"Wonderful invention"

I was lucky enough to win a sleepybumps mat from a competition on twitter. I was so glad when I won! My 11 month old son will only nap during the day in his pram (or in the car)
I don't mind taking him out for walks but sometimes the weather is so horrid in England it's just a pain. Also, getting coat, boots etc on takes time.
Thankfully i got my mat just before the snow and ice this winter. I used my sleepybumps mat instead of risking this icy pavements and it worked wonders! It only took 5 minutes of pushing the pram back and forth over the mat for my baby to drift off to sleep.
I would definitely recommend this product and will be buying it in future as baby shower gift.
Fantastic for the it is pouring outside, terribly windy or snowy or if you just don't have time to get out and back from a walk (When in a rush to get him off to sleep.)
Great value for money too.

"Great idea"

We've been very lucky that our little girl settles easily, however on the od occasion SleepyBumps have proved invaluable when she hasn't waanted to go down.

A simple idea but it does work and means that we don't have to go out for a walk just to get her to go to sleep.

I would suggest making the SleepyBumps with a grip on the reverse as we have found that the mat can slide across the room when you are using it.

"Great Product"

Sleepybumps is a great product.
As a new mum I’m still learning the tricks of the trade to get your child to sleep.
My son Ethan loves to go out in his buggy as the movement rocks him to sleep, but good old England don’t have the greatest weather and with 101 things to do at home its not always possible just to drop everything to go for a walk.
Sleepybumps solved my problems.
By gently running the buggy over the matt it gently rocks my son to sleep.
No need for wrapping up warm, rain jackets or wellies you can do it from the comfort of your house what ever time of the night.
Would highly recommend this product to all mums (new and experienced)

"amazing"

The weather has been unseasonable bad, and smooth floors do not help with getting babies to sleep and nor does getting soaked outside.

My 6 month old can be awkward to get to sleep but with this mat underneath the push chairs wheels it did wonders, he fell asleep so quickly now sometimes he goes to sleep better at home than on a walk.

"This product works...."

I think this is a great invention, especially after the bad summer we have had and now the weather has turned. It's not always practical to go out for a walk. I have a toddler as well as a baby so I tended to rely on a car journey for a sleep anyway, but it is much better not to have to leave the house.

I have a McLaren buggy that I use now so it's a good fit for the width of the Sleepybumps. In terms of using the Sleepybumps I must admit that I wouldn't generally bring the buggy inside as I live in a town house and the ground floor is just a toilet, utility etc but there is no reason that I can't leave my baby down there as long as I check on him.  I have used it on a number of occasions and found my son settles very quickly due to the rocking motion it gives. It also means that I can then leave him in his pram until he wakes up, without having to move him (which always wakes him up!)

The sleepybumps itself is very durable and I like that you can roll it up for easy storage. I think it could be more marketable if it came in a range of colours and in terms of the retail price I could argue both sides here - this is something that you should only ever have buy once so if you make good use of it then you will get value for money, but I think as someone on maternity pay, during the economic downturn, I'd have to really need a solution to an unsettled baby to justify the purchase. I'm pretty lucky as my little one settles reasonably well.

"great idea"

Sleepybumps has proved very effective and practical for me. The bad weather, plus having 3 other young children means I cant always just put my 9 week old in a pram and walk her. It is non-slip, stays put firmly on my canvassed kichen flor and is very durable and good quality, the bumpy motion definetely helps get my baby to sleep. I, like some of the others do find it a little narrow to use easily with my bulky travel system, but I do think it is good quality and worth the rrp.

"Woud recommend with reservations"

I was surprised by this product. Whilst I understood the idea for newborn babies, I really didn't think this would work with my 6 month old son. He smiled at me for 5 minutes while I pushed him and then dropped off!! He was ready for a sleep though and I couldn't get him to drop back off when he woke after one sleep cycle!

The positives are that it works and it is easy to store

The negatives are that it is literally the width of the buggy when used length ways so I had to use it width ways.

I normally have the buggy in the car so it would mean bringing it in every time.

I wouldn't like to rely on it to get my child to sleep (we have enough issues as it is!) but I would use it on a newborn, my son did used to like being pushed on a bumpy surface when he was very small.

The RRP is £24.99. I would not pay that much for this product, I think £15 tops

"Great idea for a product"

Sleepybumps is made of very durable but flexible plastic; and once laid down on a tiled / laminate floor does not slip at all, making it a very safe product especially with both a baby and an older toddler in the house. It is easy to use and looks smart.

Running the pram back and forth over the mat definitely creates a bumpier ride for baby; recreating the outdoors feel and did calm my little one down.

The mat is too narrow to run my travel system down long ways so I have to use it width ways instead; but apart from that I have no concerns with it.

I think that it is probably a bit too expensive; but it is great to have a product produced in the UK and to be able to support British businesses.

"Fab product"

The idea is a very simple one but it WORKS! Taking an 11 month old to hospital to visit her premature baby brother on an almost daily basis, this was a lifesaver to help her to go to sleep whilst in the hospital (to keep her routine as much as possible) I can see it being used lots more at home now the cold weather is kicking in. More choice in colour would be a bonus, and do feel it needs to be a little cheaper but overall FANTASTIC!

"Highly recommended"

The awful weather has stopped a lot of the walks to get my baby to sleep so Sleepybumps has been a lifesaver. It's slightly expensive but the rubber is thick and long lasting also a variety of colours to choose from would be nice. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to get a grizzly baby to sleep.
