"A good read"
My 5 year old son liked this book a lot and loved making things up about the brilliant illustrations as well as listening to the story. My younger child (22 months) was not at all interested. We read this as a bedtime story over a couple of nights and he was really interested in how the seasons worked and why things were happening. It would have been nice if there had been more to read as well as the pictures. We did find some of the Americanisms hard going and it did interupt the story having to explain some of the meanings of the words to him and why they were different. however, overall this was a good read. Although i do think the price on the cover is a little steep.

"one for all seasons!"
My eldest boy (5) took an immediate interest in this book as the illustrations on the front are very busy and make it look interesting. My 2 year old was also very interested but i removed the cover whilst he talked through what was happening in the pictures.
The book is divided into seasons and we (my 5yo and I) read through one season each night before bed, each season is illustrated with the activities being read about. Both my boys really enjoyed this book and it is still a regular at bedtime, although there seem to be 'favorite' seasons to read now!
I feel the only downside to the book is the use of American 'terms/language' some of which can be seen as educational, for example about thanksgiving, but other terminology may confuse the child reading it and it's for that reason i don't think i would pay £9.99 for it.
