"I love Rescue Balm"

What can I say? I absolutely love this Rescue Balm. It has to be the best lip balm I have ever had. Outstrips the Body Shop one by a mile although I do like the scent of other ones.

I even used it on dry skin on my elbow and it helped straight away.

Rescue Balm may cost a bit more than some of its competitors buy boy is it worth it.

I honestly can't recommend it enough. BUY IT!

"attractive packaging"

I found the Rescue Balm to be moisturising on my lips. I put it on at night, and by the morning, my lips feel very smooth and moisturised, and I suffer from very dry lips in this cold weather. It is supposed to make you feel relaxed if used on the temples, which I have tried, but it didn't make me feel any different, maybe I am expecting too much.
The little yellow box it comes in is eyecatching, and the little glass pot it comes in also looks nice. It reminds me of expensive face creams. It looks tiny, but a little goes a long way, and lip creams/balms usually contain small amounts.
Overall, the product does what it says it will do on the lips, and doesn't leave a taste or smell.

"Undecided"

Rescue Balm is attractively packaged in a light weight glass jar, it doesn't look cheap and the packaging protects it whilst jiggling around in the bottomless pit known as my bag!! l was slightly disapointed at the size of the product as it is quite expensive for a lip balm, but on application you do need less than other lip balms. The product was lightly fragranced which was really nice as sometimes they can be overpowering. The product has a light waxy/ slightly greasy consistency so when trying to apply and l felt l kept having to apply more as it was so light. However after application my lips felt softer and l didnt need to reapply as often so the product will last longer. l liked the balm but felt it was expensive considering the other products available on the market.

"Handy Product"

Rescue Balm is a balm for lips. It applies very thinly, which I liked as you don't feel you have lips plastered in grease. You do need to keep reapplying throughout the day though (have to use finger to get balm out of little pot). It has no taste, which again I liked (- as not into having strawberry lips).

It has softened my lips, which were particularly dry due to all the cold weather we have had - so it does what it is meant to do!

I personally think it is slightly overpriced as couldn't see myself spending more than £3 on a lip balm.

The little container it comes in is slick and a good size to carry around in a bag.

Would recommend the product as it is pleasant and works!

"Handbag must have!"

As a woman, my handbag is an abyss and I am sure somewhere right down at the bottom I have about 6 lipglosses lurking about!
After trialling Recuse Balm I realise this a definite handbag must have and means I can now have a huge clear out!

I was very surprised at the size of the small glass pot, given the price is £5.75 I was expecting something larger, however they always say good things come in small packages and they were right!

The rescue balm itself is very smooth and once applied to your lips you almost want to put more on however a small amount works wonders and I have found after using this product that my lips are very smooth and not dry at all. A little does go a long way!

The fragrance in the pot is bearly there but does smell very fresh and once on the lips does not appear to have any taste to it and gives your lips a very slight gloss.

This lip blam will be a firm fixture in my handbag from now on and I will make sure it is always readily available and not hiding at the bottom of my bag!

My suggestion would be ignore the price and give it a go, with such a small amount needed it will last a while and you will certainly get your monies worth!

"kissable lips!!"

I usually use vaseline for my lips but find it greasy and come off very easily but rescue balm is the total opposite! you hardly need any to get a good layer (dont think there is even a dent in my pot!) my lips look and feel alot better with only a few uses! i'd defo reccomend this product! at first i thought it was quite expensive but as its gonna last so long i retract that statement!

"My lips are so soft!"

Ive been using the rescue balm now continuously for almost 3 weeks. I often get very dry chapped lips especially and work and no matter how much lip balms I buy they dont compare to this one.

Within 3 days of using the rescue balm I had noticably softer lips and I found that they werent chapping at all at work.
The pot that the balm comes in is very small, but you only need a tiny amount each time. The balm sinks into your lips very quickly and isnt at all greasy like most of the products that I have found.

It doesnt have much of a smell either to it which I find good because I hate sickly sweet lip balms. Its very small and compact and fits even into the smallest of handbags. On a nightout I take mine and apply it before my lipgloss and It makes my lips not only look great but feel great too.

The rescue balm retails for £5.95 which although seems expensive, it is something that you are going to get use out of and will last you quite a while.
I would defintley buy this product again when I run out and recommend it to anybody.

"Not for me"

I use lip balm every day, twice a day to keep my lips perfectly kissable so was really pleased to be testing a lip balm. The pot is the perfect size for handbags but not so perfect if you have nails! It makes it difficult to get the balm out without it all ending up underneath your nail. It does feel like you have to apply a fair bit of it and although it did keep my lip hydrated they didn’t feel moist and did end up licking them which sort of defeats the object! The texture was nice and there was no smell to it which you either like or don’t like, personally I prefer the ones with some scent. I think there are better products on the market at more affordable prices.

"love it but not the price!"

this product came at the right time,i walk my daughter to nursery evryday, and recently the cold weather has been chapping my lips, this product has totally sorted that problem.the pot is small enough to carry with you where ever you.it is a little hard to apply and you need to build up the layers but its worth it as my lips are now chap free!!i do feel however that the price is a little steep as there are cheaper products on the market!

"Undecided"

At first glance I thought this pot wouldnt last very long as its so small, but perfect size for popping in your hand-bag. But as its a waxy substance I think it would last a lot longer then it would seem. I found that I had to rub my finger into the balm a lot or a few times to get a decent layer on my lips. There wasnt really any smell or taste which in my opinion is fine, but because I couldnt really notice it on my lips a short time after application I cant honestly say I noticed how long it lasted. I think that it has helped to hydrate my dry lips in this cold weather - I tend to only apply these products when needed. The price is a lot more than I would wish to pay for such a product and if i'm honest I have other lip-balms with a texture that I prefer, I can feel them on my lips and I can also judge how much i'm putting on. I would use this product again if I were to see it at a cheaper price or on offer, but at full price I wouldnt buy it.

"I love it!"

I got the rescue balm just over a week ago, and have been using it continually since.
I buy alot of lip balm, as I get really horrible dry lips, but usually lose the balm after a few days at the bottom of my bag or in a drawer.
However, I love that this is so compact and in a neat little glass pot. There doesnt look alot in it, but looks are deceiving as I have been constantly using it for nearly 10 days and it hardly looks touched. You only need a little.
I didnt think the price was bad at all, as you can buy a run of the mill product for possibly £1, but it doesnt do the job properly and you end up buying some more - so its false economy in my opinion.
I like the fact it isnt overly greasy, doesnt have an offensive smell, and is compact.
Would definately recommend it.

"A Great Handbag Item"

My 'Rescue' lip balm goes with me wherever I go now. I often choose to buy a cheap plastic-cased lip balm because of the cost and then find that within a couple of weeks, the wrapper has worn off, the lid has disappeared and the lip-balm is crusty and covered in the nasty crispy bits that live in the the bottom of my handbag.

The Rescue lip balm may be pricey but it comes in a sturdy, well-sealed glass pot and has SURVIVED the handbag test! Well done!

The balm is effective but it does need quite frequent re-application to get the best from it. I think I would rather have this, a nice light lip balm and have to reapply it regularly than have a heavy, greasy one so I guess thats a good thing.

I love the smell of the balm that comes from the Bach flower essences and it doesn't taste artificial in any way.

I think the Rescue Balm is good value for money and I shall be using it throughout the year.

"great item but costs a lot"

I am always prone to dry chapped lips in the winter especially with walking quite bit in the wind etc. Anyways when I got the product I couldnt wait to try. I got the pot and it is a handy size for in your bag or pocket and will last a while with normal application. The first couple of times I used it my lips did tingle a bit, not quite sure why as I dont have any allergies and it didnt seem to happen after the first 2/3 uses. I do agree with others that it is expensive but then it is also good. It does work and makes your lips feel lush so as long as you dont got over the top it should last longer.

"Great!"

I received the Rescue Balm after I'd just got over the flu. I was feeling really worn down & had terribly dry, cracked lips!

I liked the look of the Balm on first impressions. The glass pot was a nice touch & the design on the box & label was nice & simple. The smell of the balm was very subtle & quite relaxing! When it came to applying the balm I found it quite difficult to get a good amount on my finger. I needed to keep rubbing my finger & applying it to my lips about 10 times before I felt I had enough to soften my lips. I think it would be better if it was slightly more pliable so it would be easier to apply. Having said that, when it had been applied it was lovely. No sticky feeling & no horrible taste. The balm was really softening & I felt the effects straight away.

I was very impressed overall, although I feel that the balm could be slightly softer allowing it to be applied quicker & I also think it is slightly over priced for me.

"Love It"

I also got this just in time my lips were so cracked and dry this stuff was fab, no horrible smell or taste either like some other lip balms. I found it a little fiddly to get out of the pot but that might just be cos of my stupid arthritis.
I also used on my cuticles that were quite dry it worked great massaged in easily.
Oh and I used on my chapped hands too this weather always makes my hands rough and even crack sometimes.
Like others have said it is a bit expensive but I liked it if they made it in a different pot Id def buy it again.

"Fantastic!"

I never normally suffer from sore lips, but 2 days after the lip balm arriving I got sore lips!
I almost forgot I had it, and started to use it the same day. I was amazed at how pliable it was and also that there was no horrible smell or taste.

I was suprised how quickly it started to work and after using it all day by the next morning my lips were starting to feel better already. After 3 days my lips were back to normal, but I havent stopped using it, as its left my lips so soft. The price at first seemed a little high but after using it I would rather spend the extra and buy this then the cheaper ones.

I have had to hide the lip balm as my daughters have taken a shine to it aswell!Lol I loved the fact that it came in a small pot that could be popped in my handbag or changing bag.
I would definately use this product again and would recommend it to friends too.

"arrived just in the nick of time"

This balm arrived just in the nick of time. I had had a cold for a few days, my lips were really dry and I had run out of my normal lip balm.
I found the balm really easy to apply. It is not too greasy or thick,is easy to get out of the little pot and provides just the right amount of coverage without causing my hair to get stuck to my lips. The little pot it came in is light but sturdy and fitted neatly into my handbag. It has a pleasant, very light floral fragrance and no discernable taste.
To start with I had to apply the balm every couple of hours, while my lips were very dry, but as they improved I only had to apply a few times a day. I like to put lip balm on before I go to bed and was suprised to find that I still had a light covering when I woke.
I think that the only down side to this product is the cost. While I really enjoyed using it, I would never pay £6 for a lip balm, when the one I usually use is much cheaper and does to job just as well

"Thin application"

This product arrived just at the right time for me, being 34 weeks pregnant and already having dry lips, so I was looking forward to trying it out.

I liked the packaging, it was simplistic but stylish. I started to apply as soon as I recieved the product and continued as and when needed, which unfortunatly was very frequently.

The balm is very light, which is a bonus if you dont want the thick and greasy application some lip balms give, but this meant I had to reapply very frequently. It feels nice on your lips, as it doesnt feel heavy or 'gunky'. After a week of use, my lips were no more moist or softer than before which really dissapointed me.

I did enjoy applying to my temples, especially just before listening to my Hypnobirthing cd as an extra relaxation. Especially as the balm was light and non greasy, I didnt mind having it on my skin.

I dont think it works very efficiently as a cracked lip balm, but it certainly works for calming and relaxing.

If I hadnt used this product before I would have purchased it at the retail price and the packaging and brand name are appealing to me, but I would have been dissapointed with the product as I dont think its value for money.

"Really Good Product"

Rescue Balm is a wonderful product, slightly expensive for a balm compared to high street versions but extremely effective when used on dry chapped lips, can also be used on your temples for a soothing effect. There is hardly any taste or smell to this balm and you have to warm the balm with your finger but you can apply the balm to your lips very easily and almost instantly your lips become moisturised, very impressed!

"Expensive!"

I am a lip balm fanatic and apply lip balm around 10 times a day, i can't be without it!! I usually use another brand of lip balm from a pot which is slightly greasier.

The Rescue lip balm has a nice faint smell with no yucky bitter taste and comes in a lovely pocket sized glass jar. This lip balm does feel like a luxury when using it but it's definatly not worth nearly £6!!

It feels lovely on the lip when you apply it but it could be a little greasier, this lip balm doesn't stay put for long which means more applications.

I would definatly use this product again but would not be willing to pay full price, i think the only way i would pay full price is if my usual brand was out of stock.

"Instant kissable lips!"

I suffer from dry/chapped lips in the Winter, and was pleased to see that the balm in the tiny glass jar was tightly compacted. As a result of this, you only need to apply a small amount as a little goes a long way. The lip balm is very easy to apply, and doesn't have an offensive overly-girly taste or smell. In fact, it has quite a neutral smell to it, with a very slight floral undertone and it doesn't taste of anyting at all. The texture is just perfect, it very smooth, indeed. You just need to moisten the tip of your finger, without having to rub away at the balm, and that is all you need. It is far from the usual sticky mess that some lip balms create.

I have been using this product for three days now, usually just before bed, and the result is wonderful. My dry winter lips have now dissappeared and gorgeously moist kissable lips have emerged at the beginning of February! I love this product!

As a relaxing balm, it does work, especially if used just before you fall asleep, but I think this is a result of massaging your temples, rather than the product itself. It certainly doesn't have an after-effect: once you stop massaging it in, the effect diminishes. In that respect, it is not as effective as some of the other products available on the market.

My only real issue with the product is the price for the quantity, i.e. value for money. There are various other lip balms/massage balms that are 20g+ for under £5, whereas, the Rescue Balm is £5.75 for just 5g. Granted, you do not need to use much of it at all for an application, and it is a high quality product, but there are so many other products that will give you the same results, give you far more (in volume) for your money, and cost less than a fiver.

"Expensive but nice"

I always get chapped lips in the winter so was very excited to receive this and when I received the product I was not disappointed. The Balm is in very understated packaging which isn't too girly, and the glass tub feels very expensive. The smell is hard to describe, very slighty floral, very pleasant, and not in the least overpowering. It makes a change to the usual fruity or minty flavours of lip balm that you can buy. I checked with my husband and he liked the smell too. The balm itself is quite solid so a little would go a long way and it does make my lips feel better and softer even in this weather. Another important fact is your lips don't feel sticky after application, so you don't have to worry about your hair getting stuck on windy days.

According to the instructions it can also be massaged onto your temples, but call me sceptical I am not sure if this is accually as soothing as it is made out to be.

Now down to the nitty gritty, the price - very expensive, it does work a lot better than the lip salve that you buy for under a pound in tubes, or even the pots you get in Body Shop, but still just under six pounds for a lip balm! thats a lot! I might buy it, if my lips got really bad, but until them I will stick with my usual mid of the road brand.

"WOW"

Wow my lips have never felt this soft.
When I took the little glass jar out the box I thought what a waste of packaging you get a big glass pot for the actual amount that you get. Its hard to get out as you need to warm it up with several rubs of your finger but when you get it on your lips its well worth it. My lips seem to be chapped all the time but after the first aplication my lips felt soft and smooth. So the more I use it they better they feel and look.
Is it worth the price? I would say yes but if I went into a store not having used this product before I think the price would put me off.

"My lips are so so soft!!"

When I first looked at the little pot I thought no way would I pay £5.75 for it, but after using it a good few times I definitely would. My lips were extremely chapped and nothing I was using seemed to be working, using this today and my lips are already in a better condition. I must admit its hard getting it out of the tiny pot because you need to rub your finger round to warm it so it will come out, but once you've got it out it's wonderful. Don't need much to give your lips a good coating and its not icky sticky like other lip balms, I would highly reccomend this and when my pot runs out I will be buying more! If you've got chapped lips get yourself some of this!
