"FANTASTIC" My baby loves these bottles and only these nbpttles. As he used the NUK in the special care baby unit we knew he like these. We tried all the market leaders and he would not take any milk from them. The NUK bottle is easy to use, fits perfectly in the cold water steriliser, microwave sterilser and our electric sterisliser.
they fit perfectly well in the bottle bag from Avent.
I also would like to mention that my son has not suffered from colic.
Our baby loves the latex teats not the silicone. The only drawback is that this bottle is not available to buy from everywhere.
I have six of these bottles and have just brought the bigger size. Member review by cheryl - mum of three, aged 11, 8 years and 6 months

"GOOD BUT" Well we tried these bottles because unfortunatley I have to stop breast feeding Amelia so I am trying to wean her off the breast and onto bottles, at first they seemed ok although she was only taking the odd oz but she was getting really frustrated, I bought latex teats for them to see if this helped but Im afraid it didnt,Im sure for some people they will be great bottles just not for Amelia. Thank you for letting us test them though. Member review by EMMA - MUM TO LILLI & AMELIA

"Life Saver!!" I recieved the product while I was pregnant and put them in the draw with the others waiting for the arrival off my little one. My gorgeous baby boy arrived and he was rushed to intensive care, had 2 major operations and recovered well. Although on the scbu they had a real hard time trying to get feeding established. He was given reflux medication and put on a lactose free milk. This seemed to help but there was something still not right, they changed the teat to a NUK teat and he thrived!!! :-) :-) Luckily we had the 2 bottles we were given to test with the NUK teats. He is 6 weeks old now and has been home for a week. He loves these bottles and teats so much we have been out and bought 4 more today!
I think the design of the bottles are great and I would certainly reccomend the bottles to anyone. My baby boy loves these bottles and they were the last piece in the jigsaw to getting him home and feeding properly. What more can I say other than a great big thank you! "not for my baby" when the bottles arrived i loved the look of them but when callum tried them he just wouldnt take to the teat
but he is very fussy on which bottles he will take
i will try them again when he is a little older he's only 5 weeks now so give him another couple of weeks and he may love them
i do think there are so many varieties of teats on the market and each baby is different so think they are worth a try
they are great value for money if your baby will take to them Member review by debbie - mum of callum

"The best on the market" Having used almost all bottles and teats on the market! (daughter has reflux), I think Nuk ones are by far the best. My son has always prefered Nuk teats from when he first used them at the neonatal unit. I bought the teats but used them in the avent bottles i had. The teats where great but the bottles leaked! Was thinking of buying some actual NUK bottles, when we were sent these to review. He has been using them for a while now and they are fantastic! Not 1 leak, a dream to clean and fine and chucky so he can hold the bottle! Just bought 2 more so he has 4 and gave his old bottles to a friend. Member review by Pennie - mum to 3

"Great and baby loved them too" I didn't think I was selected to test the bottles so when they arrived through the post it was a lovely surprise and great timing, our old mam bottles were starting to leak! The bottles are so easy to clean, nice wide neck and a good shape to get the bottle brush around. I think these bottles would have been ideal for use much earlier due to the little stopper which came with them, you could use this to seal the bottle to mix both the powder and water together but we are now well past that stage. India is a bit lazy when it comes to holding her own bottle but she took to these without a problem and seemed to want to hold them, this could be due to the shape and the fact they curve slightly inwards where her little hands hold them. We've now binned the mam bottles and are using these full time, thanks baby website ! Member review by Victoria - Mother of two

"Tried them but !!!!!!!" I've tried these bottles with my 2 week old daughter but at the moment she didn't get on with them. Have only just started bottle feeding her with formula so might just need to get use to the bottle and the formula. Will give them another go in a couple of days when she is use to the bottle and formula feeding. Thanks to NUK for allowing me the chance to test these bottle out for them. "good quality, but not for me." I thought the bootles looked really nice, and was really looking forwards to testing them with Chloes next feed.Chloe is suffering with colic so I thought the bottles might help as they have the colic valve system. The teat looked like a nice natural shape, Chloe has been breast feed with some top-ups of formula and the bottles are recommended by midwives for mums who are breast feeding. The bottles were really easy to clean but were a bit big for my steriliser. I made Chloes feed but she really didnt want to take the bottle, the milk was coming out much to fast fpor her even though it was the 0-6 month size. I tried for 15 minutes to get her to take the bottle but she was really not happy so I had to make her a fresh feed with her normal bottle. I dont think she liked the teat which surprised me as it looked very natural or the fact that the milk flowed so fast. I will try her on the NUK bottles again in abut a month to see if shes happy to take them, but for the time being I will use her normal bottles. "Quite disappointed - affected feeding" On first inspection of the product I was quite impressed. The teat and colic valve system looked good along with the shape of the teat, and I liked the look of the bottle. I also liked the fact that it could hold upto 10oz which could come in very handy, however the bottle was much bigger than the wideneck store own brand of bottles which we have always used (they too have the anti-colic system, so were good as a comparason). I could see them taking up a lot of room in, for example, a change bag if you were going out for a few hours.
Cleaning them was quick and easy, much better than trying to scrub our contour shaped bottles. However they didnt fit well in my steriliser, having a narrow neck they wouldnt sit on the rings designed to keep them upright, but I dont know if that is a fault with the bottle or steriliser design, I guess that one or both of them is designed for its own brand of equipment.
Jayden took the bottle for his feed without any problem, I thought perhaps he would notice the different teat, but he didnt seem bothered by it. Unfortunatley from here its all downhill. Jayden drinks 8oz of milk, 4 times a day (no night bottles) and normally drinks the whole lot within 10-15mins without any fuss. When using this bottle for his teatime feed, it took over 30-35mins for him to finish the bottle and he seemed to get quite tired, his dad had to keep wiggling the bottle to encourage him to keep going and he kept commenting on how long it was taking Jayden to feed. Then for his bedtime bottle I noticed that he seemed to get bored with feeding and got very fidgity. After 30mins of feeding he was only half way through and he decided to give up and had completely lost interest. I couldnt persuade him to take any more at all, and knowing how well my son normally feeds this was very unlike him. Of course it could be co-incidence, but I think its very unlikely. The teat is Medium Flow (No1 designed for 0-6mths) as is the teat on his usual bottles, but these teats must have just been flowing far too slowly for him. I did find that the anti-colic system seemed to do its job, as there were plenty of bubbles flowing into the bottle.
He went to bed as usual at around 8.15pm, having taken much less milk than he is used to. It is now 8.50pm and we can hear that he is still awake, looking for his dummy, and quite unsettled. By now he is usually very quiet/asleep. I think that he is perhaps feeling a little hungry and may now need a bottle in a little while to satisfy him, again it could be co-incidence but this behaviour is very unlike him. We will now be reverting back to our original bottles.
Perhaps he would have got on better with a faster flowing teat, but im not certain of this as he has always got on fine with the other Medium flow teats. I will definately keep hold of the bottles, as I think they would probably work much better with juice (when he's old enough) and water in them as that would flow more easily. But as for feeds they havent proved of any use for us.
I would like to thank NUK & The Baby Website for giving us the opportunity to try out and review this product. I wish that my review could have been more positive, and hope that other testers got on better with it. Member review by Hayley - Mother to Jayden - 12wks 3days old
