"Really do what they promise"
I spent a lot of time researching reuseable nappies whilst pregnant - hours and hours hunched over a hot keyboard reading product tests just like those offered by this website and after much searching these nappies seemed to get recurring high scores and looked cute so i bit the bullet and bought the birth to toddler set.

The set I bought came with 20 nappies, 12 wraps in 4 sizes, 10 boosters, 2 rolls of paper liners a nappy pail and a nappy mesh bag. The website i bought them from were fab and did me the rainbow coloured nappies for the same price as the white ones and all coloured wraps as, despite it only being a cosmetic detail, I fancied a change from the usual boring white.

But onto the nappies themselves - being in the rainbow colours they are beautiful vivid colours - mine come in the girl pack meaning i have them in pink, yellow, purple, orange, green and turquoise. I also have wraps in various designs of safari, ocean, grasslands and savannah.

The nappies are designed to take the user all the way from birth to potty utilising a system of poppers. At newborn they fold at the top to shorten the nappy and the second row of poppers is used to cinch the nappy in snug at the waist, the next size up is still folded over using the second row of poppers but using the ones further apart. From there you can unfold the top to make the nappies taller and use the top row of poppers. Eventually you use the top row of poppers but use the ones further apart. This gives you options to have the nappy fit well no matter what size or shape your baby is. To be honest my little one didnt start wearing them until she was 8 weeks old as they were too bulky at first but she was born 5-12 so most people would probably find them suitable either from birth or at least after the first couple of weeks. They are not the most slimline nappies around and definately will not give the snug fit of a disposable but the only real thing i bear in mind is to have looser vests to allow for this and even then most trousers still fit her quite well.

The soft micro terry is fairly absorbent and soft though does require at least 3 washes to bring it up to full absorbency. However, once the baby is over a couple of months old I feel the booster is needed and this is where my only gripe with these nappies comes in. The booster is snap in and uses the top row of poppers meaning you struggle to use it if you are still folding the top of the nappy over. My little one was born small and remains lean even at 6 months old meaning she still has the nappy folded over but is a heavy wetter. I have found you can pop the booster in, leaving the top folded over and not poppered as it will stay secure under the wrap but it does make the nappy more bulky - and these are not the most slimline ones around to begin with. I did manage to eke out an extra couple of months using fleece pads but now am probably going to have to buy some proper sit in boosters until i can fit the snap in ones properly. Its a minor niggle though as it will give me extra boosters which is never a bad thing. The boosters themselves are actually very absorbent.

The wraps come from in 5 different sizes - small, medium, med-large, large and extra large which makes them suitable from birth to about 35lb. The wraps i use are airflow which secure with poppers and have 3 poppers on each side at the waist and same on the legs meaning you can adjust them to your baby no matter what their shape. They also require several washes to soften up the elastic on the legs but once this is done i find they hold the moisture into the nappy well whilst allowing enough air through that your little ones skin can breathe and, fingers crossed, my little one has never suffered with her skin whilst in these. The designs again are eye catching and attractive. The wraps also come in Rikki design which fasten with velcro though i have not tried these.

The last part of the nappy is the paper liner - its a one way liner meaning the urine is kept away from the skin and really do their job. They also catch any poo so you can flush them straight down the toilet (yes they are biodegradeable) without the nappies getting too dirty. And if they dont get pooed on i have found they actually go through the washing machine and can be used again up to 3 times! Small money saving tip but every little helps and 6 months on im only a 3rd of the way through my 2nd roll of liners.

The whole set up of wrap, nappy, booster and liner sounds faffy but once you are used to doing it i find i can change my little one just as fast as putting disposables on and for days out i make some up with all the layers then do the poppers up and put them in my changing bag ready to pop on. Dirties go in a nappy sack and get brought home and since i dry pail there are no buckets of horrible pooey water in my house just a bucket treated with tea tree oil to keep it smelling sweet between washes. Once washed the nappies come up lovely and fresh looking again - i wash mine at 40 degrees with the odd blast at 60 every now and again to refresh them and it keeps them looking great. I do tumble dry them as i like the softness but if you are trying particularly hard to be eco friendly its not totally essential.

Best of all is the money i save - i use disposables at night for my own convenience (though on the occasions i have used the motherease they have stood up to the job) or for long days out (for short days i still use the motherease) but on average use 2 disposables a day or 15 a week if you inclde days out meaning one of the big packs lasts me 3 or 4 weeksrather than a week as my friends with disposables only tend to spend. And should i change my mind and decide to have anymore they are there ready and waiting to go again! Can't argue with that kind of value for money really. So overall i would recommend them to anyone (and frequently do)

"A very reliable nappy"
We bought these nappies when our son was born and have used them throughout his time in nappies as they grow with the child. They have been very reliable, never leaking even through the wettest and dirtiest times! They wash extremely well and even after two years of good use we would be able to use them for a second child. I would highly recommend them.
