"Comfortable and stylish"
We have always used Maxi Cosi car seats for our daughter, so when she grew out of her Priori XP seat, and needed a Group 2 seat, we were really pleased to be given the opportunity to try the new Maxi Cosi Fero. We've had the Fero for just over a month now and we're really impressed with it. My daughter also loves it!
My prime concern when buying a car seat is safety. The Fero uses air protect side impact technology to give extra protection and my daughter certainly looks very safe and snug when she is sitting in the seat. The backrest can be adjusted in both height and width - not only will it grow with my daughter but it also means I can adjust it so it fits her perfectly, keeping her as safe as possible.
I have used the Fero in a couple of different cars and have found it very easy to fit. It's quite light and manageable, and not at all bulky, so it was very easy to swap from one car to another. It sits well in my car and the stability anchor that threads through the headrest helps keep the seat in place. The places where the seat belt should be threaded through are coloured red, so it's easy to see where it's supposed to go, and the new design shoulder clip is brilliant. A one way clip allows you to simply slide the seat belt into place`at the shoulder - very quick and simple to use, as well as being secure. It also keeps the seat belt flat and stops it becoming twisted. Across the lap, the seat belt sits in two wide indents on either side of the seat. These are great as they are wider than normal and therefore make it much easier to see the belt buckle when fastening the seat belt. They also help you position the seat belt so it stays in a safe, comfortable position across your child's lap.
I have two children aged 4 and 6, and both have tried the Fero and been very comfortable in it. So comfortable that my youngest daughter often falls asleep in it on long journeys! It's very easy to adjust the seat to different sizes to accomodate different age/size children. An easily-accessible button on the top of the seat allows you to slide the back rest up and down so that you can quickly and easily adjust the seat once your child is sitting in it. Perfect if you need to use the seat for different children throughout the day (or if your children argue like mine and have to take turns sitting in the 'new' seat!). One of the things I like most about the Fero is that it's a great seat for older children too. The Fero is very streamlined and slim, so there's plenty of room for older, taller children. My eldest daughter can sometimes look a bit squashed in her usual seat, but in the Fero she looks really comfortable.
Looks wise the Fero is a very stylish seat. We chose the Total Black option which looks great and hides any dirty marks caused by sticky fingers etc, although the cover can be removed and cleaned with soap and a soft cloth when necessary. The circle pattern is simple and adds interest to the seat, as well as being appealing to children. My children both refer to the Fero as their 'bubble seat'!
Although the Fero is slightly more expensive that some other seats, it has the quality you would expect from Maxi-Cosi and I know it will last my daughter for many years yet, so I consider it good value for money. I would definitely recommend this to other people looking for a Group 2/3 car seat - we are certianly very pleased with ours.

"very comfortable!"
I got the FeroFix carseat in black as we have a black car, but there is a good choice of colours available to suit every taste.
The first thing I noticed about it was how lightweight it is.
I normally struggle to put carseats into the car (so hubby has to do it) but I was able to put the FeroFix into the car on my own without any bother. It uses the IsoFix points, and just slotted into place easily, and sat very firmly and doesn't move about at all.
Once I got the height of the back adjusted for my 6 year old daughter, we were ready to go.
The seatbelt sits in the correct place on her shoulder, and the bits at the side of the head will make long journeys more comfortable if the child wants to rest (it can also be reclined, although we haven't had to use that yet).
My daughter says the seat is very comfortable and feels very soft to sit in.
I am able to fit 2 baby seats and 1 booster seat in the back of my car, as the back of the FeroFix is quite narrow, but splays out wider to protect the child.
It also has the added security of air padding around the head.
It has a lovely design on the inside and on the outside, so it is not just a 'plain' seat.
It is also easy cleaned with a sponge and water.
It would do a child for many years, as the back can be extended as the child grows.
Overall, a very good carseat that will last for many years, very easy to fit and very comfortable for the child.

"Comfortable and stylish"
I absolutely love this seat not only is it stylish its very practical as well. There are so many features on it that makes it different to other car seats. It is so lightweight that you can easily transfer it from one car to another. The new belt hook system allows easy access and removal of the shoulder belt. The buckle is easy accessible and encourages the child to buckle themselves in. The headrest has Air Protect technology which gives extra head protection. What I also like was the fact the headrest came round my daughter's head , which not only gives her more protection but more support as well.
The backrest can be adjusted in not only height but width as well this gives me safe knowledge that my daughter is going to comfortable and supported at the same time. Plus this will allow for all the changes as your child grows the seat can grow with them so for me this is good value for money as it means I don't need to purchase another seat. Another point the backrest cannot be removed so this for me is another safety issue as I know the chair cannot easily seperate.
My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves this seat , ours is a very striking red which to me looks very stylish. It is so comfortable as well as every time she sits in it she falls asleep and with the seat being able to recline I know that she is going to safe and doesn't flop forward and get nearly strangled by seat belt. My 4 year old daughter has special needs and in her old seat was forever climbing out of her seat-belt, but in her new Maxi-Cosi Fero she is so comfortable and the seat-belt just sits nicely on her , that she hasn't tried to escape.
The cover can be cleaned with lukewarm water, soap and soft cloth
So if you are looking for a new car seat that's practical, comfortable and great value for money I can highly recommend the Maxi Cosi Fero
