"Fantastic! travel system if you add car seat."
I have had many prams and buggys over the years and have always come back to trusty Maclarens. They have fantastic customer service if I have ever had a problem, this buggy came with a life time guarentee too! I wanted the pink and chocolate XLR before I even had my baby girl, I have 3 boys and I totally fell in love with this buggy, it had all the features you could want, nice size frame, actually one of the biggest in the range which is great for larger babies or if you walk a lot and your child will need a buggy for longer, it has a lovely fitting footmuff, soft reversable liner which matches the colour of the buggy, which there is now lots of choice for in the XLR. excellent suspention wheels, which lock or swivel, extendable handles for taller mums or dads,extendable hood for a sunshade or rain.but the main selling point for me was that this buggy has adaptors to fit the young profi matching car seat to the buggy frame, the only down point of the whole system for me was that the adaptors were not perfect in design and as baby got heavier it was harder to attach the car seat to the buggy whilst baby was sat in it, the adaptors would wobble about and you could do with an extra pair of hands! but this was minor in respect of all the best points. The XLR folds like all the other Maclarens and fits perfectly in my Ford Galaxy and previously we had a VW Sharan (same car bodys) and was a perfect fit and left space on top. considering we have 6 people in the car we needed a neat folding buggy that would last from birth (flat lie back for newborns or car seat for short trips) right through until 4 years if needed, and this buggy has been the perfect cholce for me. If I were to have any more babies (which I am not I tell you,lol) or I had to recommend a buggy out of all I have had over the last 14 years I would choose this one wthout a second thought. I have since added a buggy snuggle to my XLR to make it even more pink which is difficult in the colour it came in but it has kept my buggy in perfect condition! totally love my XLR, thank you Maclaren :)
