"Looks Better Than It Tastes!"
The 'Christmas Cracker' Luxury Food Hamper arrived looking absolutely beautiful. It was so lovely that I made sure to keep all the packaging so that I could re-use it.
The saying is 'looks can be deceptive' and it certainly proved true on this occasion because the contents of the 'hamper' were nowhere near as nice as the actual beribboned box they came in. I am a Turkish Delight fan but the vegan-friendly, gluten-free variety in thie box was nothing like the real thing and to be honest was pretty horrible. I found the cholesterol-free truffles to be equally unappetising although a few other members of the family thought they were ok(ish).
Like the other reviewer, we didn't get any preserves either and were a bit miffed as the illustration on the website clearly says they are included.
I can't imagine buying this hamper again and am not entirely sure I could even recommend it - although who knows?! If one of my brood decided to become a vegan and we were stuck for a 'treat' then.......

"Bit Disappointing"
On closer inspection I realised that the hamper I was sent was completely different to the one pictured. Very disappointing! The hamper I received didn't have any preserves in it, instead it had sesame halva, which doesn't taste any better than it looks! I have to say the turkish delight, nuts, and cholesterol free chocolates went down well with the whole family. So despite the initial disappointment it all turned out well in the end.
