"Great (if expensive) product"
I bought LilyPadz after suffering terribly with cracked nipples from starting to breastfeed. I just wanted something smooth that would press down on my nipples so that they did not rub against my bra, clothing, duvet etc and these have worked wonderfully. Unlike the other reviewer I have found them extremely easy to apply from the beginning and they have enabled me to sleep without a bra at night which makes me feel a little bit more normal during the night time feeds. Since getting the LilyPadz I feel that my nipples have healed much better and they have helped me to feel more positive about breastfeeding at a time when the pain has been making me dread each feed.
My only complaint is that while the manufacturers claim that you can wear them with lanolin ointments if you are careful just to apply to the nipples I have found that it is next to impossible not to have the lanolin spread when you apply the pad and very difficult to wash it off when it affects the stick. Additionally, the pads are quite expensive - I got mine from ebay for around £10 delivered - and despite claims that they "last for months" on the front of the packaging once you open them up they reveal that they should last for "up to two months" so it is a little misleading.

"fab item"
I brought mine from ebay and although they were brand new they were very cheap (£4 including p&p) i didnt know what to expect as i knew that if you buy them brand new they are £14 so i thought that they must work quite well for that price. Anyway they arrived and at first they were quite hard to get used to as you have to sort of push the nipple in and then cover the lilypads over the nipple, its qwuite easy once you get used to it but you do have to get used to it first as at one point i felt like giving up. I think these are better for you once the baby is somewhere over 3months as if you used these at the beginning when the baby is first born any milk that leaks will just leak out whereas after 3 months you have less leakage of breastmilk so they work a lot better. I wondered at first how they would stick to me but they do stay in place very well once put on so that is one good thing as other breast pads, etc i have used have moved whilst busy doing everyday things so these were good in that aspect. They are seethrough and do not look very pretty on but then what breastpad does, the other good thing about these is the fact that they sit inside your bra very well and dont cause a funny looking crease in your clothes like other breast pads do. Overall these are easy to use once you have the hang of it and as for value of money they are very good as they last for ages all you have to do is clean them every now and then with a bit of soapy water so nice and simple. As for the quality the plastic is very strong so will hold a fair amount of milk before it starrts leaking. overall a well worth buy but only if your bubba is over 3 months.
