"Brilliant"

My son is 7 and has not been into lego for very long, I bought him this from his birthday money in August. He had lego star wars last christmas and has not put the stuff down, that was his first real time playing with lego.

Lego have struck genius with this though, it has taken my son hours and hours to build it, we have done some together and I have found myself having to tear myself away from it and think 'leave it, its his' because it takes me back to when I was young.

Errected, the lego city police station is very solid and can be played with incorporating other lego stuff, regardless if its star wars, indiana jones or just basic lego....I mean this set even comes with lego post.

I have nothing bad at all to say about this, the instructions are excellent and very well put together especially for kids to understand

Well done lego!!!

"Hours of fun"

I went to Legoland Live with my son last Saturday which was a fantastic day out. As he was such a good boy I had promised him some Lego. He chose the City set which consisted of a Helicopter, Motorbike and Helicopter Transporter.
My husband had to help him put it all together as he is only 2 and the box recommends age 5-12. He has not stopped playing with it all day (well him and my husband actually) it is so brilliant. I will definately be buying much more lego as it is hours of fun for all the family.

"police sea plane"

thomas was delighted when the plane arrived, sophie was unwell so wasnt really interested
so thomas took it upstairs to his room , i was amazed that he actually built it with very little help from anyone it suprised me how big the plane was when finished as a good size

he has played with it lots since building. and adds his animals etc to rescue

also sophie has taken an interest

its been a hit here as thomas has asked for more bits to go with it so family are getting some for his upcoming birthday

i would recommend lego to anyone with children

"POLICE STATION"

Kira 6yrs and Cole 4yrs received the Police Station to test.

It came in a huge box with the picture on the front - both children were amazed at how much they had to build.

When we opened the box there were seperate numbered bags for each part of the station and all the instructions were numbered too - so easy to work out what pieces went with what instructions.

The Instructions are very clear and if you have something to do before anything else it is highlighted - that is a good idea.

First Cole built a Police dog van. Being 4yrs old I thought I would have to help him, but he prooved me wrong. Following the instructions step by step he built the van perfectly. He usually loses interest in these sorts of things so I was very pleased.

There is also a motorbike and police car to build - these were just as easy and clear.

Next we had to build the base to the station. Kira and Cole took it in turns and both waited patiently for their turn - they worked well together and figured out the pieces and where they were to go together with little help from me.

Building the cells was good fun as they have trick walls and Kira's favourite bit was building the toilets!!

We still have some to build, but as the sets are numbered if you build them in order you can play with what you have.
Kira and Cole have both had hours of fun building and playing with the lego so far.

One thing Kira did mention was that there are no LADY police Officers. She was very angry about this and said that I had to mention it in the review!!

The set says 6-12yrs, this maybe because of the small pieces that are inside, or the complexity of the building, but Kira and Cole managed perfectly well. With a little guidance i'm sure they will continue to have hours of fun building and playing with the Police Station.

"POLICE TRUCK"

Lucas was literally jumping up and down with excitement when he saw this!!!

He vanished upstairs with it and I didn't see him for hours! This is the first Lego thing that he has actually wanted to build himself, usually it's muggings here that does the building while he does the playing!! But no, not this time.

There were three bags in the box. Each bag contained all the pieces needed for a certain part of the set. There was a bag for the cab, one for the trailer and one for the mini station & quad bike. It's a good way to pack it as it meant Lucas could build one part at a time and play with it straight away without worrying about losing parts from the rest of the set. It took him a couple of hours to build the cab, but as I said before this is the first time he has actually followed instructions by himself. I honestly thought he'd give up and want me or his sister to do the rest, but no he stuck with it. It took him 2-3 days to finish the trailer, but he didn't complain once (another first!!). He played with the truck on it's own for a few days before tackling the mini station. That only took a morning, so he finally had the knack of following Lego instructions!

He loves playing with it and has played with it nearly every day. He has added his Spiderman Lego into it and can spend hours creating Spiderman stories.

Lego has always been a favourite of mine, I loved it as a child and must admit to loving it as an adult! It's one toy that will never go out of fashion. My kids can't believe that they have a toy that I played with as a child all those years ago LOL!!

Another winner from Lego, but then again that doesn't surprise me!!
