"Still going strong"

I just wanted to add to my initial review of this product. We got this just before my daughter's 2nd birthday and we were massive fans. My daughter, Imogen, is incredibly big for her age (currently 3 but wearing age 6) and we were amazed at how generous the sizing was. I wanted to update my review and just reinforce how wonderful this product is as she is still wearing it!!
At the weekend she togged up and rolled happily in the mud (also known as the back garden). The set wiped down and looked as good as new. Imogen wears her coat and waterproof trousers an awful lot but they clean so well they look new. I would more than happily buy her another set when she out grows this one. It's lovely to find things that last as so many items of clothing are ruined so quickly.
If you want waterproofs I suggest these - we've tried loads of other brands but nothing compares to the KoziKidz rain set!

"Ideal for the British Weather"

Typically our rainset arrived during a nice hot spell this summer so with no rainfall in sight we had to be creative so William could try out the set so out came the garden hose...

It was well packed on arrival. I would recommend buying and then airing for a few days before using it as due to the materials it's made from there is some initial chemical smells but these soon fade after being hung up for 24 hours.

The set seems incredibly durable yet the material is very very soft, I remember wearing Macs as a child and them being really uncomfortable and restrictive (in fact my current waterproof is like this now) these are so much nicer than that nice and light and no rustly noise when you move around.

William adored the set from the moment he saw it so much so that we'll now have to buy the matching wellies and another set for Oliver (12 months)

We also took William to the beach in it and it kept him nice and dry as he's not a fan of the sea.

He didn't get too hot in it as it's not lined but there's plenty of room in it to pop a jumper and thick trousers under it during colder spells.

Just for fun we popped Oliver in the trousers as he's only crawling and the set took everything he could throw at it so I have to conclude that it is incredibly durable even for crawlers!

Whilst initially the price may put you off the quality and comfort are worth every penny, highly recommended.

"Fantastic for the British Summer"

I was really pleased that the rain set arrived just in time for our holiday to Scotland. We've just returned and Imogen has worn all or part of the set every single day.
We got the pink stripe set and I really like the colour; it's girly without being too pink, perfect for my little tom boy and Imogen wanted to try it on straight away. Imogen is very big for her age and we got the age 2-3 set and there is plently of room for growth, I expect that it will last her for a long time yet, this means it really does provide good value for money. The rain set consists of waterproof dungarees which are elasticated around the ankle and a waterproof jacket, both have reflective strips on them. The dungaree straps can be adjusted. I was amazed that the hood stayed up as there were no draw strings but it hasn't fallen down once. The hood is a generous size and even went over her cycle helmet!
Imogen wore the whole waterproof set with a number of layers on to go out on the bike. It was very, very wet and when we got home my waterproof had leaked but she was completely dry. She likes wearing it and will ask for it so it must be comfortable. It feels incredibly soft and doesn't make that horrid crunching sound when she moves.
Whilst in Scotland we went out a lot and Imogen, who loves rolling on wet grass and can always find pools of mud, stayed totally dry and really put the set through it paces but everything we asked it to do, it did. I found that the suit was easily wiped down with a cloth and dried quickly. It is quick to get on when out and about and I think this is crucial.
I've always bought all in one waterproofs for Imogen which don't cost as much as this set but don't seem to work as well as this one does.
I have recommended this to my friends and will definately buy her another one when she outgrows this current set. Ideal for British summers!!

"good practical rain wear"

I used to use an all-in-one rain suit for my eldest child but have found this set to be much more practical. With the dungarees and jacket you have the flexibility to chose which combination to wear. My son has just turned 1yr and still crawls a lot but loves going outside. I have been able to let him go in just the dungarees after a rain shower and he has been totally dry but not too hot. The full set has kept him 100% dry while out in the rain and for a sweaty child it does not heat him up which I was worried about.

I have (age 1-2) and although the dungarees have plenty of room in them the jacket sleeves are just the right length now, he's 13 mths. I doubt it will fit him in 6 months.

In conclusion I think this set is very good, durable, great looking and easy to clean, I'm already looking to buy one for my eldest son who's 2yrs.

"Really practical ,good looking rain set"

I've always used waterproof dungarees for my toddler (2 and a half now) in bad weather - he's a mucky pup - so was extremely pleased to get the opportunity to try out a different brand.

The main things I'm looking for are a) practicality b) durability c) lightweight d) longevity

I'm happy to say that the Kozikidz set definately ticks a) and c)

The set is extremely practical - the dungarees cover the toddler from chest to ankle. I like the elasticated bottom which means that even though the legs are a bit long at the moment, you dont need to roll up the bottoms. (plus less opportunity for wet and dirt to get in) The stirrups will probably come in useful too - you dont have to use them - I just pushed them to the side both times I used the set.
They are roomy enough to wear over thick clothing, and to allow a toddler to get up a climbing frame/ride a bike without restriction. The reflective bands will be great as the darker nights start.

The jacket covers everything that the dungarees dont i.e. a good length, without the sleeves being too long. Its nice and loose fitting and the hood is removable. I think having both a zip and studs is a great idea and both the hood and cuffs are elasticated.

I got the grey squiggle design, which I probably wouldnt have chosen myself, however when its on it both looks and feels extremely good quality.

I had to wipe the set down after use due to some mud-rolling - was easy enough to clean. I'm pleased you can also put it through the washing machine! I never had any doubt they'd be waterproof as the suit is clearly well sealed.

It is most definately lightweight - with the dungarees in particular I need something that can be scrunched up as small as possible and stuffed in a bag (I know - probably not the best way to treat them but this is real life). It feels like it isnt too hot for the child - I cant really ask my son to comment on that because he's too young but Im happy he's not overheating. Its odd to the touch - very rubbery and fluid! But seems comfortable.

Its hard to comment just yet on b) because we've only tried it twice, so only time, or an unfortunate accident will tell. I'm hoping that the fabric and the seams will withstand rough and tumble - because its so lightweight its hard to tell - fingers crossed its robust enough.

As far as d) goes - well I can say that whilst I dont know how long it will last in terms of getting trashed by toddler - as far as sizing goes (I have 2-3yrs) I think it will last well into his third year. He is the biggest of his peers at nearly 2.5 and the suit is still generously sized on him. Fortunately the legs have a plenty of length in them yet and the straps can be adjusted to add more. The jacket as I've said is a good length too so I'm not worried about him growing out of it any time soon.

Pricewise - well its not cheap but it is comparable with other brands out there and having tested it I'd be happy to pay for the next size up, although I dont think I'll need to for a long time yet!

In summary, so far the rain set is exactly what I'd hope for in a rain set and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.

"Ideal for the British Summer!"

My Little Girl's Rain Set arrived on probably the wettest day of the Summer so far, so we gave it a really good road test! My Daughter has only just learnt to walk and refuses to go in her pushchair so keeping her dry had started to become a problem. This rain set is great and I could not have been asked to test it at a better time.

The set contains a pair of dungarees and a hooded jacket. The dungarees are more like waders going right up under the arms and covering the chest. The shoulder straps are fully adjustable and the bottom of the trousers is elasticated with adjustable stirrups to stop them riding up. The jacket has a detachable hood which is elasticated at the front. It is also elasticated around the bottom and wrists. It fasten with a zip and poppers.

It was very easy to clean - just a wipe with a damp cloth or machine washable.

The set is not lined it doesn't get too hot for a wet Summer/Spring day. It is also nice and roomy so will allow for a winter jumper. It's very lightweight making it ideal for travel. It's very easy to get on, we even managed it in the middle of the town centre today. We received a pink and green set (just like the picture) and my little girl just loves it. The sizing seems very generous. We have age 1-2 and my daughter is 16 months and very tall for her age and I am sure it will last until Spring. At first I was a little shocked at the price but having used it I would defiantly buy another when needed.

I would most definitely recommend.
