"Good for all the family"

This book was enjoyed by both of my children. Josh (6) enjoyed reading it himself as it was a good length and reading style for him to manage without any help with the words. Jenny (3) loved listening to it, her favourite bit was when the princess frightened the knight & dragon.

I would recommend it to anyone with toddlers, probably more enjoyed by boys who like adventure, but overall a good book with lots of bright pictures to feed the imagination.

"Brilliant book"

This book has bee well read and loved by all three of my girls. My eldest practically knows the books by heart already, and asks for it to be read almost e very night. Also we often hear her reading it to her twin sisters (17 months old) and they love it too. I have since read the story to several of the classes in my school, and it is being enjoyed throughout a wide ranges of abilities.
It has a lovely story, with beautiful illustrations. The idea of the story is the 2 best friends who go to school at different times of the day. They struggle to see each other, so arrange to meet one night at twilight. Eventually the parents realise they should make time to see each other out-with school. The moral of the story could relate to adults as well.
We have already looked at purchasing the other books in the same series as ours is so well loved.

"Colourful but lacks humour"

Knight School is a lovely looking book with great illustrations, interesting characters and colourful, sparkly scenes. It follows the story of a Knight and his best friend, a Dragon, as they go off to school for the first time. Unfortunately the Knight goes in the daytime and Dragon goes at night which means that they never have time to see each other. Without wishing to spoil the story there’s also a Princess thrown into the mix. All the ingredients are there for a rollicking tale of friendship, thwarted plans and the trials of transition. It was disappointing therefore that the text didn’t really light up in the way that the story might have done given the great pictures. Harry is 4 years old and is going to school in September. He might reasonably have been taught about the possible downside of going to a different school to his friends and been entertained along the way. However, he hasn’t really taken to Knight School simply because the text is a little too earnest. Everything works out well and lessons about managing our time and asking parents for help are learnt but I couldn’t help but feel that there might have been just a little more levity along the way. Harry enjoys the book and we have read it many times but it falls short of being one of his favourites because it fails to make him laugh in the way some of his other books do. We aren’t disappointed we have the book, but it could have been so much better.

"Great book"

I was really pleased to come home and find this book! My oldest girl Jessica is 2 1/2 yrs and loves to read stories! The book has a nice bright and colourful cover! It is made from material that is easy to wipe clean, handy when it comes to toddlers sticky fingers! The story tells of a little boy who is a knight and his best friend a dragon who are both starting school at the same time! It's a very nice and easy story to read! Jessica really enjoyed spotting all the other animals in the background on each page! I would definitely recommend this book!
