"Not convinced"
The site was quite user friendly. We had no problems uploading our image although we did have a bit of a problem locating the enter button after orientating our image! When you select your picture the website automatically tells you if the quality is of a high enough standard for your size of print which saves guessing! Its a shame there are not more options to modify your image (make it black and white, sepia, change colours, etc). You would have to do this to your image before uploading.
The picture itself has 3 cm depth. We have a canvas print which has a deeper frame. This sits out further from the wall and I think it looks much better. When you order your canvas print you have to allow for the 3cm which is folded around the frame but this is easy to do as it shows in a shaded area so you see exactly what will be on the sides.
There is a frame choice for your print but on the site it’s very difficult to judge what the frames look like. You get more of a diagram than a photo preview so it’s not clear at all how the frames really look and how the final product would turn out.
We ordered our picture on Sunday morning, it was dispatched on Monday and we received it by Royal Mail on the Wednesday morning. Very prompt and we received email updates keeping us informed of its progress. It was well packaged and also in a plastic bag keeping it dry and protected which I thought was a good idea.
When it comes to the print itself - which is the most important thing, I was disappointed with the colours of the print. They looked artificially enhanced – a bit too bright. The contrast wasn’t ‘right’. It was difficult to tell if this was due to the photograph itself or the printing process but I was not really happy with the final product. I would have hoped that if it was the photograph, there would have been some sort of quality control check that would have picked that up.

"photobook"
I reviewed Jessops Photobook (Crewe).
To get started i had to download a programme in order to create a photobook from the jessops website, didnt take long at all considering how big the file was!
Once you have this software you start creating. I thought it could have benefitted from a on screen wizard to give advice, as i spent about 30 mins playing about before i realised i could change to sepia etc... and i found this out by accident, so in that respect a little help would have saved time.
The software to spite the above is incredibly easy to use. simply choose a page layout and pick your photo. hey presto done!
you have lots of little things that you can personalise from little cartoons, to the colour of the page, to the shape of the photo, which i loved.
I have made photobooks before on other sites, which i had to upload hundreds of photos to which took hours, only to decide i didnt want to use certain ones!
with Jessops however, you dont need to do that. because of the software, you dont need to actually upload any photos untill you have created finalised and paid for it, which gets rid of unwanted upload time. i found this absolutly fantastic, and in my opinion it wipes the floor with other sites because of that fact alone.
The quality of the pages is amazing, hardwearing too, which is fab considering what a keepsake it is.
price is reasonable too, i found it miles cheaper than other sites, and again considering its a keepsake its well worth the money for the memories.
delivery says upto 10 days for dispatch and 7 for delivery.. i think i got mine in about a week, so that was good too.
all in all a great product, would deff recommend to a friend.
but again, would prefer on screen aid to make it a little more user friendly

"Lovely Canvas Print"
I wanted to get a really nice pressie for my Mum and knew that her various shelves were already full of pics of all the grandchildren. She loves getting new photos of them obviously but she's genuinely running out of space.
However she has plenty of wall-space and so a pic for her wall seemed like a perfect choice. Having never ordered anything other than prints online from a photo company, I was unsure about what the canvas prints would look like.
It was dead easy, I have to say, to order the Canvas Print from the Jessops site - even for a non tech-savvy person like me! It was all done and dusted in less than 10 minutes including choosing the pic, uploading it and paying for it. And believe it or not, the pic arrived the next day.
I was amazed at how quickly it came and the quality was superb too.
Photos of any kind are great as gifts, as we all know, and the canvas prints are just that little bit different!
I really do recommend Jessops for ordering photo gifts of any kind - and in fact I'm about to go and make myself a Photo Book now as I have zillions of photos of the kids on my computer and it would be good to be able to flick through them more easily.
