"caterpillar is a good idea"
My girls were impressed with the game at first glance. They liked the idea of the caterpillar. It is handy to keep the cards in, nice and easy to clean up and place cards in the caterpillar.
The game itself can be difficult to explain to a child but once they start to play and with your help they soon understand the rules and can play on their own.
An enjoyable game.

"Fun game"
My daughter was delighted with the game as soon as she saw it. Loved the fact that everything came in the caterpillar.
She found it quite hard to understand the rules of the game but as she is just 3 years old, I think she might be just slightly too young for the game, however she did however get the idea after a few tries. We played the game with some of her friend who are slightly older and they understood the game straight away.
Everyone enjoyed playing the game and played a few times since. The game is quite short which has been good as attention spans are rather short!!
As the game is quite small and comes with in it's own caterpillar bag it will be great for holidays or when you are out and about. I have already used it when went over to visit friends.

"good little game for all the family to enjoy"
On first impressions I have to be honest, I wasnt impressed with this game.
The whole game comes in what can only be described as a pencil case in the shape of a caterpillar.
However the bright colourful caterpillar had my youngest son {4yrs} interested straight away and really captured his imagination.
The game is suitable for 2-4 players.
The game itself is a matching game which my 4yr old found easy enough to follow the rules and complete the game. Basically its a matching game with cards containing all the food from the story. You must match the foods by trading with other players to turn the caterpillar into a butterfly.
Great game for pre-school and primary aged kids who need to develope their counting and matching skills. I also found it helped with sharing, taking turns and extending concentration times.
We have played this game 5 times now in 2 days so its popular here and each time the game has taken no longer than 20mins so my son has not lost interest or got bored with it.
I would certainly pay the full recomended price for this game as my little boy loves it, even if i wasnt impressed. Its all about stretching the kids imagination and having fun and this game certainly does that.
Would be ideal for travelling as the packaging is small and could easily be popped into your handbag.
The only thing i could fault it on is the fact the butterfly discs which come with it are quite small and could be easily lost or even cause a problem with smaller children/babies, but again the game is designed for age 3+
