"Home away from home" we had the opportunity to test this travel cot during our vacation to St Lucia and have to admit that it did eat into our weight allocation quite steeply! i was also worried about it being damaged in the aircraft hold so wheeled it to the plane door and they took it from there. the actual cot is quite light, but the other bits contributed to the heft of it.
that aside, the cot itself was a breeze to set up compared to other travel cots - there is a danger of over-thinking the assembly - it's just that easy!!!
it's a lovely, large space and the mattress was much more sturdy than what we've seen in other travel cots...i was pleased with the mobile and the fold-over changing mat - two functions not usually associated with a travel cot. i can see Nathan will be using this cot for quite some time in the future because it's well built, sturdy (has lockable wheels!!) and a great space! there is also a bassinet which, when used, gives you heaps of storage space beneath it!
be aware that because it's such a spacious cot, not all hotel rooms will have the capacity to accommodate the cot comfortably so you may have to fold-away and re-assemble daily (thank goodness it's easy to do!)
i can also see the potential of this cot as a main bed (not just for travel) because the mattress is supportive and quite comfy - Nathan slept thru the night almost every night for 2 weeks - and i had no concerns for him in the cot.
would certainly recommend, advising of the weight and space constraints. Member review by Lorraine - Mummy to Nathan
