"Sorry but Bored"
Really sorry but both myself and Kayleigh got bored before we even got half way through this book. The cover wasn't that inviting to start with, it was not appealing enough to jump out at me in a shop. We started the story and Kayleigh got bored, but I kept reading it and afraid I got bored too and never finished it. I felt there wasn't really a story in it, nothing to keep you reading. Sorry

"Magical..."
I've enjoyed sharing this story with my daughter although it has brought Christmas into the forefront of her mind!
My daughter loves listening to stories and enjoyed this. She did sit for the entire story although her friend didn't manage to sit through it all. The illustrations are beautiful and we talked about them lots.
The traditional feel to this book makes it a real winter warmer, it warms you up in the cold, dark nights.
My 4 year old likes it very much but I wouldn't say much younger children could listen to the story in one go. I think 8/9 yr olds could read this alone (there are some fairly complex structures and vocabulary that requires more than than the taught phonetic strategy to decode).
We will have many more happy evenings reading this magical story.

"Nice book but a bit long"
I have tried a few times to read this story to my son, and while he seems interested at first he does get a bit bored after a couple of pages. The story is definitely too long for my daughter at only 2 years of age. I quite liked the story myself but feel it would be more suitable for an older child than my son which is a pity as the book itself and the illustrations are great.

"findus at christmas"
findus at christmas is a lovely story. it has very detailed pictures but the story was quite long and didnt hold the attention of my 4 year old son. i feel that an older child around 6/7/8 would appreciate the story more as they would be able to understand whats going on in the story and should be able to read the story themselves.i would recommend this book to others as the storyline is so lovely and is about what christmas should be all about.

"Enchanting story"
My two boys love listening to this story and talking about the pictures. There is so much detail in the drawings and it seems there is always something new to discover in them. The story is a tale of neighbourly friendship and goodwill, everything we should strive for especially at Christmas. It is a long story but certainly worth spending time with. My boys are 1 and 4 so as yet they aren't trying to read it for themselves, although because the pictures are so detailed my 4 year old enjoys telling his brother parts of the story in his own words. The quality of the book is excellent.

"ok"
My 5 year old got bored of it very quickly as it was too long & even though she is very good reader she struggled with making sense of it. although my 3 year old has to have the story every night so he likes it. think he likes the pictures more than anything really!!
