"really lovely set"
I was really pleased when the children received this train set. it is colourful and sturdy. it is made from wood so is solid and i prefer wooden toys to plastic anyway. although its a small set it is extendable and perfect for little people. all my lo's loved it but especially my son. i dont know how much it is sold for so cant comment on value for money but id pay between £10 and £15 for it. it is easy to put together and take apart to store. i cant find any negatives and would highly reccommend it.

"Very Colourful Sturdy Set!"
This is an excellent introduction to trains for any young child. My son Mathew who is two loved it. Especially as this set came with the familiar Thomas The Tank engine Train.
It is nice to have the ready made roundabout track assembly as it is easy to move around without having to set up again. Perfect for any impaitent toddler.
The set includes a circular track, a Thomas The Tank Engine Train, a station, a tree, a gate and a turnstile for cargo. The track is fixed in a circle and the other toys all fit into holes in the base. This keeps them from falling over and makes it extremely easy to set up. Even Mathew can do it himself. The sets link together easily and kids can play with them on the floor.
It also come with two blue track converters which helps when setting up different styles of tracks.
This set is aimed at children from 18 months but will last alot longer than that as it can be connected to other Thomas wooden tracks.
I would definately consider buying other sets from the Early Engineers Range range for Mathew as I think they are great value for money.
It's just nice to own a top quality item from Learning Curve that will last for years.

"Great first train set"
The Thomas early engineers roundabout set is a colourfull and sturdy little play set and is extremely simple to set up. Unlike other Thomas playsets i have, this one is very chunky and easy for little ones to control.
The track is a wooden roundabout with detachable wooden toys which are a crossing gate, spinning cargo, tree, and a station that fit into circular holes in the middle.
The playset is very good quality and very simple for my little boy to use.
Any wooden Thomas playset can be added to this using the two tracktiles that you get which is a brilliant idea and hours of fun.
