"Dodo Pad Diary "

I liked the idea of the 5 columns, so that you could write in for each member of your family but there is 6 of us. The downside is there isnt a great deal of room in each square though and some of the pages are quite busy with a background print over them.

I love the spiral bind, it makes it much easier to turn the whole page over (wish all diaries were like this!). The interesting facts are quite unusual, not really sure if I like them or not.

The front cover is not very eye catching either, not very girly for me. I like the small tear off corners, which you can use to mark the week you are on.

I felt this kind of diary might be very useful for a student to write in their timetable, or homework reminders but the design of the pictures/facts is not really aimed at them. My daughter was keen on the general idea and has said a girl at her college uses one.

Not sure if i would purchase one for myself though. Overall not really a family type diary.

"Different ..."

This diary has all the right content, such as numerous columns for different family members, various and interesting facts but...
It wouldn't be my first choice due to drab colours and drawings. It lacks that feminine touch for me.

"It's OK"

It is not the first thing you would see on a shelf in a shop it is not bright an cheerful looking. I have found the pages very busy not and quite frustrating while trying to put my things in the diary. I feel that the pages need to be less busy and a bit more consistent, every page is different and I can not get used to it at all.On a plus side there is 5 columns to write in family members names like a family calander but there is a down side though I have found that the day columns/squares do not have enough space to write in and I am forever going into the next column which I had already allocated to other half. It is not handbag size either. The good points are it does have some interesting facts and I do like to doodle so I think it is a good idea, it is also spiral binding which I like as you can turn the pages completely over ( all diary's should have this). I would not go and buy it myself.

"Funky design, lots of space to fill in your weekly plans"

The Dodo pad diary is a really unusual looking piece of stationary and would really jump off the shelf amongst other diary's of a similar type. Its really "arty" looking and has lots of little pictures and doodles all over it. It made me want to be creative with it and make it all "nice" when i started to book details into it.
From a functional point of view i would give it 4 out of 5. it has lots of columns so you can put your weekly planner alongside that of your partner and children. The only reason i would mark it down by one is that some of the pages are a bit "busy" and i will find it hard to look at them "at a glance" and see whats what. This is a minor niggle and doesnt affect every page.
Its very practical to use. Big enough to fit your notes in and small enough to fit in your handbag. I would have liked a pen with it (just to make it even easier to use) but really liked how you can fold the pages right back on themselves.
Its good value for money and an unusual choice. You could buy this as a gift for someone without feeling like you bought them any old diary.
The only negative points it has in my opinion are 1)the few "busy pages" 2) the historical facts jotted through the months (not my cup of tea i'm afraid) and the fact that it didnt have a pen/pen compartment. Other than that, i would reccommend this product and look forward to utilising it to organise myself in the year to come.
