"great book"
What a fantastic idea for cakes that ar kindr to your teeth and your childs as we all love cake yummmm.
The recipes were easy to follow and tasted fantastic we really enjoyed them the only down side was no pictures, I tend to look through a cake book at the picture to decide what to make but none in this book but plenty of choice to bake.
A great recipe book for all parents as we all know how important our little ones teeth are.

"Well thought out idea!"
My daughter is 2 and loves helping in the kitchen, she also loves the idea of the tooth fairy, so this book was good from both the many varied recipes it contains and also the tips and illustrations on looking after your teeth.
I like that this book covers both sweet and savoury recipes, even though when I first received this I was expecting only cakes and biscuits from the cover illustration. The recipes we have tried have all been yummy; the fairy cakes and banana muffins going down a treat and the Chilli and Cheese muffins being well received by the adults!
I also liked that the book suggested Xylitol as a healthy alternative to sugar. Although this is, as previously suggested a more expensive option, I do believe that it is worth investing for the health of your family’s teeth.
My only negative is that the book could have been in colour to make the most of the illustrations and to make it a bit more attractive to children, but this is me being picky!

"brilliant!"
I love this book! The recipies are easy to follow, easy to make and totally yummy and you don't feel guilty about the amount of sugar affecting your teeth. So far we (my nephews and nieces and I) have made banana cake, banana muffins, fairy cakes and cheese scones which all turned out very well (and my partner really enjoyed the wicked cheese and chilli muffins!).
I like that there are little tips from the tooth fairy about looking after your teeth with little illustrations. The book sugests Xylitol as a sugar alternative which is a bit expensive to buy but well worth it in my opinion. The book is well presented and there is a wide variety of recipes, modern and traditionl, sweet and savoury.
I would recommend buying this book to both those wanting to start baking and experienced bakers.

"Fun to bake"
I found the recipes easy to follow and were fun and interesting to read. My little girl is 2 and I feel is too young to understand the hazzards of cooking or how to mix properly so there was a constant let mummy do it it.
I enjoyed it however I would say though and with the number of receipes etc it is not easy to do but I always say with cook books is they should be cook proof ie stains or spillages will eventually make to book messy and difficult to read.
But it is enjoyable still and makes cooking fun and offers healthy alternatives to sugar

"Brilliant Ideas!"
After receiving the book I had a good look through and was very impressed at the range of recipes that are in the book. I will definetly be trying all of the recipes as they all sound yummy. I would also not feel as guilty giving my baby these treats when he is old enough to start eating finger foods. Well worth buying!

"Refreshing mix of sweet treat & sensible, useful advice for teeth"
As a soon-to-be mum, I tested out this book with my 9yr old niece who is an avid baker! We baked the chocolate cupcakes with coconut and vanilla frosting which were absolutely delicious.
The book itself is easy to read, simple to navigate and packed full of delicious recipes, both sweet and savoury and both traditional (banana cake) and more modern (sweet courgette muffins with lemon and vanilla). What sets it apart from others is that it is based on using Xylitol as a substitute for sugar therefore being better for overall helath and kind to teeth.
'Cakes form the Tooth Fairy' stands out from other cook books in it's very light-hearted and fun approach to a serious issue presented in a fun way, with easy to follow instructions both for adults and children alike along with helpful hints on tooth care for kids along the way presented throughout the book.
A great recipe book for the recipes alone and with the added bonus of encouraging your kids to understand and look after their teeth without the pain of a 'boring lesson'.
