"Good fun book"
Very simple illustrations illustrate the metaphors often used in everyday conversation, especially when giving advice about the first day of school. Charming in its simplicity, it's an example of everday metaphors. Children will be able to relate to this book becuase children take everything you say literally. Great book.

"A Good infants school book"
My 7 1/2 year old son and I read this book together. It is a lovely book, and made my son smile and laugh at different points. It reflects on the different elements of a school day, using humour in words and picture form. I think this book is definitely suited to an infants school audience who would be 'tickled pink' by its humour!
