"brilliant butlins!"

We arrived couple hrs before check in but pleased that they were giving people there info packs with key cards already very efficient although keys would not be activated till 4pm. We had also parked in the first carpark you arrive at which tends to be for gold residents, so once we knew this we had to get back in car and drive to 2nd car park, not a major problem. No cars allowed on site and once you have parked you have trolleys like at the airport to transfer all your luggage to your accom, you then leave them under the stairs and they get collected.

Accommodation - clean and tidy and the only thing i would say by the end of the week what was missing was a vac! LOL.
Plenty of coat hangers to our suprise! In wardrobes.
Accomodation services where more than helpful after requesting the 2nd single bed be taken away for travel cot they arrived within 15mins!
Complimentary starter pck of tea/coffee/sugar
toilet roll, wshing upliq, scourer, tea towel.

Bathroom shower only which ellie hated but had got used to by mid week.
Watch living room door as spring loaded and we constantly had to watch ellie wasnt around as slams shut. Cute little bunnies boucy everywhere a night and ducks and geese reg came past windows to kids delight
Restaurants as we were half board our restaurant was ocean drive a 5mins walk from our apt, good variety of food from traditional roasts to jacket pots/salads/kids bar with usual nuggets etc
puddings - LUSH!!! icecream machine for kids
Breakfast very good from fruit, kippers, boiled eggs, cereal to full english, must admit the toasting machine was a pain but got there by day 5 LOL.
PLenty of highjchairs available, though would say if your little one learning to use cutlery take your own as couldnt even find a teaspoon.
Staff on entrance gave you squirt of hygiene gel which thought was superb idea.

So far so good.
Facilties - brilliant the list is endless but the ones we experienced were nursery free play and stay 0-4 1st hr you stay then 2nd hr you can leave them, plenty for the to do and nice to security is paramount. We even had a visit fromn spud out of bob the builder which even my 6yr old loved. They are plenty of other activities which you have to pay for and a baby sitting service available - but we didnt use this.
Bobs yards great for littles though wondered if ellie was too small for some rides as wasnt ure how she would it with jake or whether she would jump for it. The only downside was that the main smoking area is situiated literally right outside??
Swimming - lovely outdoor pool for toddlers which also has life guard, indoor great as well plenty to do from different slides, wave sections - watch this one as very rough and life guards jumped in a few times! The river which pushes you a long is good even for lo in arms we enjoyed this very much. The only down side i would say is that you cant take pushchairs in and if you want you can pay a 5pound eposit for a key and chain and chain up outside, but no body tells you this. Als0 family changing rooms constantly full so advised get changed before you go and in female/male changing room there is no way of securing lo , so if you in middle of drying yourself and lo toddles off, you gotta get them with clothes on or not, luckily some kind lady helped me. LOL. ALso some of lockers dodge 30p get token, but staff great ask and they sort it.

Fair on site closes most nights at 6pm.
Evening entertainment - EXCELLENT!!

Milkshake show a must for littles ellie was giving it so much she fell asleep for 2nd half, especially at fifi and little princess, jake was not too impressed what we were doinf but he enjoyed it too noddy, ruprt the bear, great show.
Wrestling - all wrestling fans a must hilarious, take plenty of money for merchandise stand.
Xfactor - SUPER! Ben Mills/miles sos i cant remeber was excellet and lead the way for chicco! OMG how funny and he certainly is an enertainer not one to be missed, he loves the kids Bless.
Horse riding pre bookable at booking shop. 20pound for me and 18 for Jake. The co pick you up from site and drop you back, we had a lovely ride thro exmoor forest gorgeous little streams etc whole thing lasted about 2hrs inc travel time. Really enjoyed it.

We also went to local attraction approx 7mile away tropiquaria not really for little ones id say more for 3yrs+ but a good day me and jake held tarantula and boa and he loved the pirata ships in sand you could play on. Weather wasnt that fab the day we went but ok for a few hrs.

Big tesco roiund corner from butlins, for cheaper shopping at shop on site can be expensive and limited.

Minehead it self we thought was lovely, very beautiful and glad to see not OOT on front, , more low key but better.

Beach was lovely kids enjoyed very much tho sea permamently out.

It is def a place we willbe going back too. There is so much more but id just be going on and on. Worth a visit.

"Minehead Butlins - Fab!"

We have been to Butlins Minehead a few times now and its fab. Kids love it and never stop talking about it.
Their rooms are all clean and well made up and perfect for children too as they have plenty of room. We always use their half-board as they save mummy cooking and then it's a holiday for me too. I must say their food is stunning and u can have as much as you want. Kids can help themselves to food, ice cream, lollys, yoghurts, apples.... you name it ,its there for them.
We love the 'Bob Yard' as they can play on fair rides as much as they like for no extra cost. Fab idea!
We also went to Bob the Builder's tea party which was really good fun. I think we paid around 11 pound extra for that but they got a Bob Back Pack with loads of bits in there. Well worth the money i think.
Butlins are right up on all kids stuff with Bob, Spiderman, BBC tweenies... the list goes on and on!
But Butlins is not just for kids. We have been on some amazing adult weekends down there too, and have never laughed so much in our lives. So if u wanna bit of fun away from the kiddies, get down there guys!
We are going back in Nov for bonfire-night again this year.

"we love butlins!!!"

Thanks to thebabywebsite competition we got to stay at bognor regis for 4 nights and loved every minute of it!i have visited Butlins many times before but this was my first time with a baby and there was lots to keep him busy. There is a 0-4yr area for soft play and toy fun and lots of daytime entertainment.Callum got to meet all his favourite tv characters and enjoyed splashing about in the big indoor pool everyday! In the evening the entertainment is aimed at families and we watched some good live acts as well as boogying on the dancefloor. The self catering accomodation was basic, comfortable and practical for our needs and staff were friendly and helpful. Being so close to the sea is great and we rode on the little train that goes up and down the beach.I would recommend Butlins people of all ages -theres entertainment to suit everyone. We are already booked up to go to Minehead in september and cant wait!!!

"excellent entertainment for the whole family"

After visiting another holiday company for many years and nto being alot of entertainment for the children, we decided to try Butlins. Even though it was more expensive, it was definatly money well spent.
There is always something to do, from the kids clubs in the mornings, the skyline gang with loads of activities to the evening entertainment rangeing from Milkshake with all the kids characters to the 60's theme etc. The food is fab with loads of places to eat, and if you just want to relax after a busy day there are many takeaway places so you can grab a bite to eat and chill in your apartment.
We now try and visit twice a year, and are planning on going for christmas this year.
Id reccommend Butlins as the top UK holiday destination anytime.
