"Great For Feeding" This product has been fab for feeding when a highchair isn't available, we have taken it with us when visiting rather than packing up a highchair etc! Took a while for my Son to get use to it as he wanted to get out straight away for the first few weeks, but its been great since he's realised he's actually quite comfy and can still play with his toys etc while sitting in it! "Good for the early months." I was very lucky to be given this by my sister, her two boys used it before my daughter and loved it. In fact the boys loved it even more when they discovered it had been given away to their cousin and they'd insist on sitting in it every time they came round to visit. As for my daughter, it was great for a couple of months (about the 3-5 month stage) but as she got more curious she just tried to get out and managed to do this quite easily. I think it's the sort of thing that suits some children more than others, so it's great if like me it is passed on to you and you do not have the expense! It is very well made, soft, and I imagine would last for ever, so not a bad thing to pass on to other mums for them to try! "be careful" Bought one of these when my daughter was 3 months and it was great at first, kept her upright so she could see what was going on. Had her in it when she was 5 months and nipped into the kitchen to get her bottle, she started screaming and when I went in she was face down on the hard wood floor! I now cant put her in it as she can easily climb out. I only got just under 2 months out of it so personally think it was a waste of money as theyre supposed to last till their a year old. "Try before you buy" My daughter hated it. From the first time I put her in it she cried and arched her back. She could get out of it within weeks. I bought the (very overpriced) tray as when she dropped her toys she couldn't reach them again and thought this might help but it didn't. Would advice anyone thinking of getting one to try a friends or borrow one before shelling out. Member review by Abbie - Mother to one girl

"Perceverence paid off" We received 2 Bumbo's as gifts, and initially I thought they were going to be a real waste. Izzy like the other review would arch her back and refuse to sit in it complaining loudly everytime we tried her in it. This was when she first started holding her head well unsupported. I then came to weaning her at 6 months and the chair has become a godsend. She will now sit in it quite the thing and play with toys around her. I'm so glad I percevered with this as i don't know how I would have fed her solids without it! Member review by Alison - First time Mum

"good chair for nosey little ones" We first bought a bumbo when our second child was 3 months old. She was nosey and always wanted to see what was going on but hated sitting in a bouncer chair. We got the bumbo and she loved it! She sat at family meal times with us able to watch and coo at us while we were eating. Our third child and again loves it.The only slight problem I have with the chair is that our third child seems to be able to wriggle around in it a lot and shift her position so she can look unbalanced. However she is a thin small and strong little thing so may just be her! I only wish I had bought it when we had our son. Member review by michelle - mum to 3 littlies

"Fantastic in every way" I was given a bumbo as a gift when my daughter was born and I used it all the time... It was great for feeding, playing etc!! When she got too big for it I let a neighbour borrow it for her son, who also said it was great! My son has just started using it and again it is fabtastic! We have been told by a few doctors to try and use one to keep him off of the back of his head, (He has a lump on his head because of his vontousse delivery)... It is a product I always recommend to new mums and have bought a few as presents!!!!! Member review by Tracey - Mum of 2! Boy 15weeks, girl 2 1/2

"Wanted one, got one and wish we hadn't bothered" With baby number two I was adamant I was going to have a bumbo, I had looked at them in the shops for so long and couldn't wait to buy one. When we first introduced our daughter to the bumbo she would arch her back and cry so we left it a while and when we tried her again she did exactly the same, no amount of toys around her would distract her and she would never sit and play in the seat. When India could finally sit on her own unsupported we tried her with the bumbo again and by this time she learnt if she arched her back and leaned to the side she could actually get out. The first time she managed I don't know who was more shocked, her or mum and dad, anyhow after the third or fourth escape we decided the bumbo had to go. They may look good and suit alot of babies but our little girl was never happy in hers. At ten months old she is still happy to sit in her bouncy chair from time to time and this was half the price of the bumbo. The only good point was we kept the box and sold the bumbo on and it ended up only costing us a fiver. Not suitable for all babies ! Member review by Victoria - Mother of two

"Absolutely Fantastic!!!!" This has to be a must have item for your little one. We bought this when our son was 3 months old and he has used it every day! He has his dinner in it so it keeps him in one place, it really is an ingenious idea!
When you see it at first, you imagine it to be hard but it's really soft to touch and our son looks so comfortable in it. It's a great stop gap until he's ready for his high chair, even then, I'll probably use this aswell.
