After lots of research I had decided to go for the Bugaboo Bee very early on in my pregnancy. After testing out lots of different buggies the decision was really only between two buggies anyway and both of them were Bugaboo, the Bee or the Chameleon. we went for the Bee on the basis that we live in a first floor flat and live in London so needed something small and suitable for the City. We made a great choice as it is excellent for both purposes.
The smalleness of it is superb, it fits very neatly into our 3 door Corsa boot and sits unimposigly in the communal hallway we share with our downstairs neighbour who says she doesn't mind it being up and in the hallways as it is small enough to get past. Pushing it around the City and on and off buses and tubes is very easy indeed. There are not many tube stations with lifts so carrying the Bee up stairs is something I have to do often. Of course it is easier with two but I can easily lift it on my own with my daughter in it. She is not particularly heavy but even if she were I think the Bee is light enough to make it feasable to lift on your own if needed.
The shopping basket is big enough and contrary to popular belief the buggy is easily big enough to take your chid all the way through their buggy needing days. It pushes like a dream and you could push it easily with one finger if required and it spins round superbly. Unlike most other buggies it is not hard work pushing a Bugaboo. Some of the accessories leave a lot to be desired, the changing bag wasn't very good at all but they have changed the design now and it is much better and the wheeled travel case is really not worth buying (it'd be better to buy a cheap holiday buggy) but the cup holder is handy and the parasol very useful. The rain cover I initially had was flimsy and broke but they changed the design and sent me a new one straight away. The new one is strong and sturdy and works very well. I unfortunately had a problem with the seat and wheels on my Bugaboo, just a random fault that happened to a batch of them I think and Bugaboo wasted no time in replacing everything for me which was fantastic and I know one other person with the same problem and the same outcome so it's good to know if there are problems Bugaboo will sort it out immediately as long as you register your Buggy.
It's worth noting that I didn't buy mine in John Lewis but as they are a reprasentative of Bugaboo they did all the talking to Bugaboo and between them solved the problem, but then John Lewis is an excellent shop. All in all if you have the money to outlay in the first place I would buy a Bugaboo because you will save in the long run. It's a bit like the difference between buying a mascara from a high end make up house or a high street chemist... You may pay three times the price but it will last you four times longer and stay in better condition throughout. The resale price of Bugaboos is still quite high even after the models are discontinued so it's a good investment considering what you will get out of it, the care from Bugaboo and the fact you will be able to recoup a substantial amount of the money if you wish to sell it on.

A swish awards ceremony at London’s InterContinental Hotel on Park Lane last month unveiled the winning beauty products no lady’s make-up bag should be without.
