"Best double buggy I've used"

I bought my Britax B-Dual a couple months before having my 5th child last year.I have 5 children,aged 11,8,3,almost 2 and 14 weeks.This buggy has been a godsend and I can even use it on the bus.The back wheels are quite far apart which can be awkward but that is one of the only negative things I can think of.The main positive point for me personally with this buggy is the fact that the main seat unit can face either way.I like to have my baby facing me so this is a huge bonus.I got a coccoon and a cosy toes but so far have only used the coccoon-its really good for keeping tiny babies warm-will probably get another 6 months or so's use out of it as needed.(The cocoon that is)

The basket is large and accesible by way of 3 separate zipped sections,however when you have a toddler using the 2nd seat-be warned little feet love kicking whatever is placed there.
The buggy has an adjustable handle with a spongy foam-that as yet has remained intact.The wheels can be locked or can swivel.Another point which isnt so great is that the straps arent great for bigger children-my son is 23 months old and not that big and the straps are getting a bit tight already.I'm hoping to get at least another 6-8 months use out of this buggy before going back to a single-that said I'll probably use this ocasionally as a single.

I do love this buggy and would recomend it,it is heavy but easy to manoevere.

"A life saver!"

We got the Britax B-Dual in summer 2010 when we found out the amazing news that we were expecting our 2nd child. This meant we would have a newborn baby and a 16 month old too! We made the decision that we would defiantly need a double tandem pushchair.
After spending many hours searching the internet and local baby shops we discovered that there were not that many double pushchairs that matched our ‘criteria’ which was to be used from birth and that you could use a car seat with and a 2nd seat at the same time.
Well the Britax B-Dual does the above and more!!

When first putting the B-Dual together it’s so easy! Took less than half an hour and has very detailed instructions to follow.

When using the B-Dual as a single the seat can be rear-facing or forward-facing, The straps are adjustable which means it is suitable for a newborn as it reclines fully into a flat position and if you purchase a Cosy Toes for the B-Dual baby stays ever so snug and looks very comfy too. The main seat also has an adjustable foot rest and a small ‘handle’ bar which my little boy loves to hold on to!!

The 2nd seat can also be used from birth in a lie flat condition and is suitable up to 15kg. It has clips at the back which unfasten it to lie flat and when the older child is in it you can just do the slips back up! It also has adjustable straps on 2 settings and again when used with the Cosy Toes is ever so snug & protected. The hood on the 2nd seat comes right over the seat and has a built in ‘sun visor mesh’ which is a god send even when it’s not sunny as it offers protection from the wind and also baby can look up and still see you above them. The hood is also easily removed by just unclipping it. The main seat also has the ‘sun visor mesh’ feature and the zip open feature which is very clever!

The handle has adjustable positions by pressing in buttons either side of the handle and is great for going up hills or when different weights are on the pushchair, It also nice and soft with a foam protector over it.

When wanting to use a car seat with the pushchair its amazing! The B-Dual came with adaptors to give more distance between the 2nd seat and the car seat which just clip into the slots provided for the main seat. We use the Britax BabySafe SHR 2 With our system, It has the one button release system when being used with the pushchair, Making it quick and easy.

No need to worry about punctured tyres with the B-Dual as it has amazing puncture resistant tyres! With great grip also!

The brake system is great, The brakes are applied by one tap of the foot and displays a red square when on and one tap again to remove the brake and a green square is displayed.

The B-Dual also has a great In built suspension system which is great for county off road walks! And with strong sturdy wheel protectors too it means no risk of any trapped fingers!

It folds down so compact and flat, In a scissor method, With one pull of the leaver at the side of the handle and its down and fits in the car boot quite well, and again to put the base up it is a case of pulling the release catch and pulling up the handle and your done! The seats just clip in and out of place just as easy.

The weight of the pushchair is surprising as with a double you expect it to be very heavy and as sturdy as the B-Dual is it is still easy to manoeuvre and very light weight considering the weight with 2 children in it!!

Other Features of the Britax B-Dual are:
* Quick release wheels
* Spacious shopping basket with Zipped access
* Quick release wheels
* Comfortable padded seat and chest pads
* Detachable showerproof hood
* 5-point safety harness
* Detachable apron
* Lightweight aluminium chassis
*Dimensions Unfolded: H 119 x D 110 x W 69 cm
*Folded without seat units: H 30 x D 84 x W 69 cm
*Folded with seat units: H 53 x D 100 x W 69 cm
*Weight without second seat unit: 10 Kgs

We have had a few incidents where a door way has been to narrow to fight through but then you have to think ‘Well it is called a tandem for a reason!’ to accommodate 2 children comfortably! So not being able to fit through a couple of shop door ways is not a reason to knock it, It does have a ‘squeak’ when pushing it sometimes which seems to come and go but I have read that a lot of the B-Duals have this.

All in all I am so happy with this pushchair and would highly recommend to parents who are looking to buy a tandem pushchair, as I feel it is highly one of THE best in line tandem pushchairs on the market and with 22 different positions depending on what accessories you have I quite happily give it 10/10
