"so easy to use" i had the bednest from the first day home from hospital.my baby was 2 days old.it has been a great product to use.during the night it is so easy to reach over and pick him up when he needs feeding.its also good to reassure him just by touching his hand or tummy.you can still sleep doing this knowing you are not in danger of rolling onto him and hurting him.i am so pleased we are using the bednest.i will be sad when my son outgrows it. "2nd review" This is my second review. I am writing it as I have now sadly finished using the bednest as my son has outgrown it!
Lucas is nearly 5 months old but he is very long for his age so we have had to stop using it now.
I really enjoyed using the BedNest & now Lucas is in a big cot I can really see the benefits that the BedNest brought. I never had to lift Lucas to feed him in the night with the BedNest, but now I do & my back knows about it!!!
I really do miss the BedNest & was quite upset about not using it anymore but hopefully we will be having another baby in the not-too-distant future so we will be getting more use out of it! In the meantime I have borrowed it to my sister to use for her daughter & she is thrilled with it too! Lets just hope I can get it back off her when she's finished with it!!!
Thanks all the people at BedNest for making a fantastic product. It really has made the first few months a lot easier, especially during those night feeds!
I would definately recommend this to anyone who is pregnant, it's just fab! Member review by Louise - Mummy of 2 boys

"BEST THING EVER" Hi i am mum of callum born on the 1st august well when i arrived home we did not have the bednest set up as i am a little superstitious about having everything set up. callum has not been the easiest of babies as from day one he has had colic and is very clingy.well finally after guests left we set to work on putting the bed nest up and could not belive how easy it was to put together and how quick.callum loves it he sleeps well every night i can not belive how good he is in the bed nest .i think it helps because he can see us and i can hold his hand if nessersary he lies awake in it for a good half an hour before he crys and wants picking up and that is alot as he crys all day. i would recommend this to anyone it is great. "Great for a sore back!" Our baby arrived unexpectedly 6 weeks early so took us by surprise. Because of this we hadn't assembled the bed nest when we brought her home, so we started using the Moses basket at first. Once we got used to having the baby home, and got our heads straight, we assembled the bed nest. Putting the bed together and putting it away again is extremely easy and takes the minimal amount of time. It also comes with a neat bag to pack it away if needing to take it somewhere. This is very useful.
Once we started using the bed nest I noticed straight away how the strain of lifting her in and out of the moses basket had affected my back. I no longer had to do this with the bed nest as I could simply pull her in and out of bed while still lying down. Just doing this has eased the strain on my back and I've noticed the improvement already.
The other thing I noticed with the bed nest compared to the basket is that she's a lot more content when awake in bed as she can still see us lying in our bed. This also worked the other way round, I feel a lot more relaxed while lying in bed because I can still see her and make sure she's ok.
I haven't quite mastered the art of breastfeeding her while she's still in her bed, I've done it a couple of times but haven't found a comfortable position, so I find it easier to drag her into bed with me then drag her back when she's finished. I'm sure when she's a bit bigger this will be a lot easier as she'll fill the bed nest out a bit more. Never the less the fact that the bed nest is attached to my bed means that I no longer have to get up to bring her into my bed to feed and can still lay down making my sleep depraved nights a bit easier.
All in all it's a great product, both for baby and parents!

"Great design!" I have been using the BedNest since my son was born (a month ago) and it has been great. When we first got it we decided to put it together before the baby arrived so we could get used to setting it up etc. It comes flat packed & is really easy to assemble! It fixes securely to the side of the bed with strong straps & is extremely sturdy. It is made out of a very strong plastic type of material which is really easy to keep clean & therefore, very hygenic too.
When my son arrived we had it set up & ready to go. The BedNest has been great. It allows you to have all the benefits of co-sleeping but without any of the risks associated with it. As I am breastfeeding I have found it really helpful to be able to just reach for my baby without getting out of bed! Also he seems happier as he can see me straight away when he wakes in the morning so he doesn't cry straight away.
The design is great as it is so easy to assemble & take apart & has a shelf underneath which is great for baby bits & bobs like nappies, wipes, muslins etc. The BedNest also comes with a carry bag which is great if you are travelling & want to take it with you.
The BedNest is quite expensive but it is very well made & would last for years I would think. Also you can use it until your baby is 6 months old, unlike a moses basket which can only be used for up to 3 months.
Overall I think it's a great idea, especially for breastfeeding mothers. Member review by Louise - Mummy of 2 boys

"Great product for bonding!" We were sent 2 bednest to review as we had twins. They were 4 months old, but my goodness, they were a godsend!!!!
I didn't like having the moses baskets to close to the bed incase we kicked them in our sleep etc, the bednest can be firmly attached to the bed, acting as a kind of extention to the bed so baby can co-sleep without the worry! Although I wasn't breastfeeding by then, they were fantastic for us as both babies are dummy suckers, and the amount of time I had to get out of bed to give them their dummy back! Also, my daughter suffers badly from reflux, so it was such a relief to have her close incase she was sick so I could quickly hold her up etc!
They also have a shelve underneath which was so handy for the muslins, nappies, wipes etc. We kept spare clothes for Esme under there too. There are so easy to put togethor and put down so quickly. You can get a carry bag to put it in which is so handy as then there bed can come with you quite compact if you are away. I think another great bonus was my husband had one his side of the bed too, so he could help during the night with one whilst I saw to the other! They might be out of some people price range though as at approx £350, they're a lot more expensive than a moses basket. The only thing I'd change is the look. They do look quite clincal and hospital like, but then again are so easy to clean and are made to the best quality! My 2 are still in them now at 6 months and I'll be sad when they finally outgrow them! I only wish I had it when my first boy was born and maybe I would have breastfed longer! "We Love our BedNest" We received our BedNest in time for the birth of our first baby, Hannah. The staff on the Maternity ward were hesitant at first about letting us use it, but when they saw how well it worked, and how easy it was for a new Mum, recovering from a caesarean section, to use, they were all very impressed.
We also became the envy of some other new Mums on the ward. By the time we left, requests were being submitted by nursing staff to the hospital management to introduce the BedNest throughout the maternity ward.
We have used the BedNest constantly since then. Having our daughter Hannah sleeping right next to us but in her own separate unit is so reassuring and makes breast feeding at night so relaxed and easy. And it travels with us wherever we go."
