"Not Impressed"

I was lucky enough to win a full set of these nappies through a baby magazine competition whilst pregnant and was adament I would use them. I put the first one on my baby when he was around 3 weeks old and within 20 minutes it had leaked. I tried again the next day thinking I must have done something wrong, this time it didn't leak but my sons bottom was sodden when I took the nappy off. I used them for around a week before his bottom was so sore that I had to give up and use disposables. When potty training him I dug out the training pants that came with the set and found them just as useless, as soon as he had an accident his clothes were soaking wet.
They obviously work for some people but for me they were a waste of time.

"Easy to use at home"

I have been using Bambino Mio nappies on my little girl since she was 10 days old (I waited for the belly button stump to fall off so that the nappy cover wouldn't rub her belly).

I always use Bambino mio nappies when I am at home for the day, and when I know I won't be too far away from home but after one very stinky day out, I have decided not to use them when I go on long journeys as it isn't much fun having to carry around a dirty nappy for the rest of the day!

I find the foldable nappies to be great against my baby's skin - she only ever suffers from nappy rash when she has had to wear a disposable. The nappies are so easy to wash, dry and fold up for the next use.

I have trouble with dirty nappies because I am still breast feeding and the runny nappies really don't like to stay inside the covers! I find myself having to wash the covers after almost every dirty nappy which means that I have had to buy more covers of each size than I had originally expected.

Over night I use a bamboo or cotton non-branded booster inside the bambino mio folded nappy to provide extra absorbency but during the days I find that I only need to change the nappy every 3 hours and can re-use the covers for the whole day (dirty nappy accidents excepted!)

I have worked out the cost of using the Bambino Mio nappies (not including washing detergent and heating costs) and I feel that I have already broken even compared to if I had been buying disposable nappies for the past 4 months. From now on I should be in the black and what is great is that the covers and nappies clean up so well in the wash that I can pack them away and re-use them for baby number two.

"Superb"

I can't recommend these enough. I bought a birth to potty bag 4 years ago and am now using the same kit on my son and have been since his birth.

They are so easy to use, wash and stay white too. The only thing is that it's a bit messier to change those breastfedpoo nappies! I had to buy some extra covers in the first two sizes otherwise the washing machine would have been on every day.

"Excellent."

The 1st time I used reusable nappies was 17 years ago which was a terry nappie, a muslin cloth and a pair of rubber pants, I could never get on with them and always used disposables. Things have things changed since then. The Bambino Mio nappies are great. The system comprises of 3 parts, an absorbent square (prefolds) that is folded to form the basis of the nappy , a liner that can be flushed down the toilet and an outer waterproof cover that has Velcro fastening to hold the whole thing in place. The nappies are 100% cotton. They are very easy to use. They come in a range of sizes from Newborn to Extra Large (6 - 42 lbs) for both the prefolds and the wraps. You need more prefolds to wraps as you only need change the prefolds at each change and only change the wrap if it is soiled or wet because you didn't change it in time! OK, you have to do some washing when using them but that's not a problem. Bambino Mio sell a "nappy fresh" antibacterial pre-soak which means you can just hand wash afterwards, or you can machine wash. All my nappies have come up white even with a 40ºC wash (which is what I always use) best for the wraps. How leak proof are they? Good they stopped most leaks, Absorption? Excellent absorption dry skin all the time, Do they stay up? Excellent fastens and stays up at all times, Fit around legs? Good fits well with no rubbing on babies skin, Value for Money? Excellent. I do have to change Chloe more often when she has runny poos and I use 2 prefolds together at night to stop leaks. They do look a bit more bulky than disposables but then disposables look bulky when they are wet. I feel like Im helping the environment when using when using Bambinos. Chloe was getting nappie rash when I was using disposables but since Ive been using Bambinos her nappie rash has gone. I will continue to use Bambinos and recommend them to everyone I know.

"i'm saving the world!"

well, at leat that's what i've been telling myself! there's acertain feeling of 'restoring the balance' when you take on a challenge like using reusable diapers and it was a relief to find that, not only was it something to salve my disposable conscience, but i actually enjoyed using them an my baby!
i'd previously received a complete set of another brand's reusable diapers when Nathan was born and ended up crying in frustration an being such a terrible mother! this time, though, it couldn't have been easier..the instructions were clear and helpful and the practice was a breeze! my only concern was night time as Nathan is a big water-drinker so we found that he woke during the night to have his bottom dried...this left mummy and daddy exhausted for work the following day so we decided to only use them during the day..Nathan even seemed to move much more freely when he was wearing Bambino Mio diapers and i now use them during the day on weekends when we're at home...
i still feel ike i'm doing my bit and will continue to promote them to other mummies...

"Easy to use"

We have been using Bambino Mio nappies for 1 year now and am am very happy with them. We tried several different re-usable nappies and found these to be the best.
They don't leak unless I've left them on too long.
It's as easy to put on as a disposable nappy as the nappy folds up and fits inside the wrap before putting on the baby.
I like the different patterns that the wraps come in.
I put them in my nappy bucket but don't soak them, when the bucket is full I put them in the washing machine.
We have 14 nappies and 6 wraps and I wash them every 2 days.
They are easily adjustable on the waist with a velcro fastening.
They are great value for money and I like the fact that you can buy a trial pack and they are available to buy in some shops.
