"great for introducing open top cup"
My little one is just under one. He loves this cup and its perfectly shaped for his little hands. The cup is designed to prevent accidently knocking over and it works.
I only put a tiny bit of water in each time and he is able to drink without spilling.
I'd say this cup is best for over one year olds to introduce open cup drinking.
Definatly put a bib on your baby as there is bound to be spillages at first!

"Better for older kids"
I have a 9mnth old girl and this cup was not preactical for her even though it said it was for use of children aged 8mnth plus.
I plan on trying this again when my daugher is bigger as it does seem to not tip very well, everything it says on the box.

"Good for older kids!"
Arrived in good packaging with good instructions.
Tried it with my 9month old daughter and although she could drink out of it, i still find it easier to give her a free flow spout cup.
However I then gave it to my 2 year old nephew to try and he LOVED it! Does what it say on the packaging, he's VERY clumsy and knocks drinks over alot but this cant be knocked over so it is very good.
He loves the look of it, and I agree with him it is very funky looking. And he says it makes his drinks taste 'nice'!
Whether its worth value to money depends on each individual child I think. For my nephew its very handy as he is very clumsy but if you have a 'sensible' child then a cheapo plastic cup would do I suppose.
