"Part 2 - using the buggy!"

I have used this Travel System for three weeks now and as it is reasonably light in weight it is easy to push, manoeuvre and pick up when folded to place in the car. When folding it up and down, it sells itself as being able to do this one handed, but realistically you need to use both hands, but that is not a problem in my opinion.

It is definitely a good 'round town' buggy, and does not feel too big and bulky. (If you are looking for something to go walking in the countryside with, this is not the buggy for that. It is a three wheeler, but not constructed to be an off road system - it doesn't sell itself as this anyway). A big plus of this three wheel travel system, unlike the off road systems, is that the wheels are solid so don't get punctures.

The car seat slides into the main frame of the travel system very easily. However, the main handle on the car seat itself does feel stiff and tricky to operate with just two hands. Hoping this will loosen up as it gets regular usage. This is the only element of the travel system I have found alittle difficult. The car seat is easy to get into the car, with a simple way of securing the seat with the seatbelt; which feels safe and secure once done.

The rain cover fits well and the wheels run evenly. The handle on the system is at a very comfortable height for pushing the buggy over a long period of time (eg. getting your baby to sleep!). The basket at the bottom of the buggy is a reasonable size, and I have been able to get my changing bag and other bits alongside it too.

In my opinion, and considering the different buggys on the market and the varying costs of these, I think that you get a good system for the price you would pay for it.

"Part 1 - the buggy itself!"

This Travel System arrived packaged well, giving us the assurance that the car seat element had been safely transported to us.

There is an element of assembling the buggy itself, but it was easy to put together. The instructions were clear to follow, and it didn't take too much time to assemble. (Look out for the extra instructions for the assembly of the rear wheels, as these were found on a separate sheet of paper within the box).

Once put together we thought the Travel System looks smart and seems to be made well (the colour combination of red, grey and black work well together). We will be interested to see in time how the strength of support of the rear wheels' axle fairs as there is an element of the support structure made of relatively thin plastic. But only time will tell whether this is a satisfactory design and appropriate use of materials chosen.

The buggy is reasonably lightweight compared to some models, which is an attractive point about its design. We feel it is very helpful to be able to lock and unlock the front wheel. It is sold as being able to be put down one handed, however we found we needed to use two hands. The basket on the buggy has depth which we are sure will be very useful in time. The cosytoes and raincover both seem of a good quality and fit the buggy well. The carry handle of the car seat is easy to operate when putting down towards the head end, however more difficult to operate when trying to bring back up again to allow you to carry the car seat (you feel like you need a third hand - however practise may well make this easier in time).

Part 2 - practical use of the buggy to follow when our child has arrived over the next few days and the buggy gets some real use...
(FULL EASE OF USE, VALUE FOR MONEY & QUALITY - scores to follow in Part 2)
