"Brilliant Product!" I got mine originally in the States before they arrived here this year. I have the Original, but it is exactly the same as the Universal without the leg extensions.
It is very well made, fairly easy to set up (though the written instructions could be a bit clearer), and very easy to use. I've given it a four out of five on ease of use mainly because of the directions and because it is a pretty sophisticated and clever little item that does a lot of configurations, so, initially, it does take familiarising yourself with it.
I loved the idea of co-sleeping, but DH (well, me, too, if honest) was a little afraid of rolling over on our first son. My sister in the States put me on to these and it has been a Godsend!
It easily attaches to the bed and has a lip along the bedside edge so baby can't roll out, but you can still touch and cuddle and feed your baby without getting out of bed or even sitting up if you want. Perfect for breastfeeding! Especially my second son, who eats round the clock.
I've used it as a play pen, too, when my oldest was already in his big boy bed, and it is STURDY! I've used it as a free standing bassinet, too, and it is really, really handy.
I have also used it as a travel cot and, though it is heavier than a regular travel cot, it is still portable and is more than worth it because my boys both slept better when travelling if we had their 'home' with us.
The only thing I have never used it for is the changing table, and, to my mind, while it has great storage for nappies and stuff, it is too low to be used as that unless you buy leg extensions to raise it up a bit.
As it can be used from birth through when your baby goes to a proper bed if you want, and it can do all the different configurations, I think it is such value for money, it saves space, and it certainly gave me a lot more sleep than it would have otherwise.
So, I just love this product!! Member review by Michelle - Mother of two boys, 3 and 1

"Fantastic!" This is a must have item, I wish I had this when I had my 1st son.
I am against co-sleeping but this is the perfect soloution. Your baby is beside you but safean dsecure in his/her own space so no fear of rolling on your baby.
It is great as a playpen too, very sturdy and well made.
I have not used it as a travel cot yet but will in Aug and its a little heavier than my old travel cot but much better quality and folds as small so just as good.
I have set it up as a changing table and there is so much storage its great. I have to say the instructions are not the easiest thing to read and understand lol. Its easier not to use them and work it out for yourself. Once you have played about with all the differnt positions it becomes very quick and easy to change about.
A must have item for any mum :-)
