"We were amazed" The nappies were terrific. When we considered the price and their strength in comparison to some of the bigger names out there, we were amazed. These are definitely worth a look, you'll more than likely find yourself converted. Member review by dave - Dad to Tom & Harry

"better than expected" Wasn't expecting a good packet with the flip up lid loads in there so that was great to start with, they work really well and nice and thick, soft cloths. Wasn't that keen on the smell but overall very impressed and good value for the money. Member review by lindsey - mum of 2 and ttc

"Mamia Mia!" I must admit my expectations of this nappy weren't that high as I normally think you get what you pay for and Aldi nappies are so much cheaper than Pampers/Huggies.
However I have been proven wrong and these nappies are fantastic.
My daughter is prone to an explosive poo (or two) and everything was neatly contained. The fit is very neat and the tabs soft and stretchy.
Isabella sleeps for 15 hours overnight but there were no leaks and her bottom still felt dry in the morning.
The nappies are very tightly packed and it took me a few minutes to extract them out of the plastic wrapping but once we were in they were fantastic.
I wouldn't hestitate to recommend these nappies and will be buying them in the future. Member review by Abbie - Mum to one

"Better than expected!!" I was sent a pack of size 4 (Maxi) nappies to test out. Unfortunately my husband opened the pack without using the proper tear part before I could even get a look.
First impression - I was suprised to see how roomy these nappies apeared to be, and how soft they felt inside and out. Had I not known what brand they were, I probably wouldnt have known the difference between a more expensive brand and these. They fitted my son (who's a big lad) very well and the velcro tabs were very grippy. They seemed to be comfortable on him.
During the day I found these nappies great, they dealt with everything my son threw at them (and as he's on solids that everything can be quite a lot). They seemed to absorb well and nothing found its way out of the nappy. However in the nights they werent good for us. My son sleeps right through, he's in his nappy usually from 8pm until at least 8.30am the next day, sometimes a little longer depending how long he sleeps for. Unfortunately by the time I got to change him the wet had started to soak through the nappy and onto his grow/vest, and I noticed that it had also come above the waist band making his PJs wet too. We tried them for 3 nights, and on the first night not only did he completely soak his nappy but also had a poo which (im assuming because the nappy was so already full with urine) had started to come out of the sides a little.
I would definately try these nappies out again during the day, if compared to other offers they were still competatively priced, I shall have to do my homework on that one. However as my son sleep for such long periods I would stick to my current brand for night-time use. I should point out that I currently use two different (well known more expensive) brands for night and day. One brand im not so keen on but it keeps him very dry through the night, and the other brand I much prefer but they dont keep him dry at night so he has them during the day. I guess that just goes to show that different nappies work best for different babies, you dont know until you give them a try, and I would definately recommend anyone to give these nappies a go! "excellent product." A pack of 50 size 4 nappies were sent to us to test on my youngest daughter who is 13mths and 18lbs. After 3 children I have tried my fair share of nappies including cloth but I must admit to being pleased with the mamia nappies. They felt a little thicker than other disposables I have used but that was not a problem. The nappies are very absorbant and lasted well both on my youngest while she toddled about and also while she slept overnight. I would recommend them to friends and they are definetly very competitive to other leading brands. I checked the price while in store and considering the pack sizes there is a huge difference so can feel savings on the pocket without compromise on quality. Member review by michelle - mum to three

"Very Pleased" When i received the nappies i was surprised that their as 50 inside as they looked very compact, but upon opening the nappies sprang to life and fell out. So maybe the packaging could of done with being a little more generous ?
The nappies were colourful and fun looking none of my 3 objected to having them put on. I was trying the size 4/4 + and they fitted my 12m old daughter as well as my 3 year old boys without any leakages or overspills.
The nappies went through the night without any incidents either, which i was really impressed with as Ive had accidents in the top brand nappies.
I will definitely be switching over to these. Member review by Charlotte - Mum to Ryan 11, Adam and Thomas 3, and Paige 12m

"Great containment" I loved these nappies, they fitted my 7 month old and my 2 year old nicely and managed to contain everything. They fitted comfortably round both boys legs with plenty of stretch. If we had an Aldi near us I'd buy them again.....come on Aldi start building!!!!! Member review by Janis - Mum of 8

"Excellent nappy!" I have tried supermarket brands in the past and not been impressed
so I wasn't sure how good these nappies would be. I was surprised when I got them out of the pack just how soft they were and they fitted really well. We didn't have any nappy rash and we haven't had a single leak, even overnight.
These nappies are excellent value for money and I would definately recommend them. Member review by Catherine - Mum of two boys

"Will be adding these to my shopping list" Having tried a variety of different nappies I was keen to give these a go and I'm so impressed. The nappies are packed a little tightly but once you've had a few out the rest come out really easily. First impressions were they are lovely and soft, have a cute little bunny design and nice stretchy waistband and stretchy tabs to fasten them with and I couldn't wait to get started. These nappies suited India really well, they were a good fit and I didn't find them at all bulky, the tabs work really well and if I didn't get the nappy quite straight enough on the first attempt it let me re-do it without any problems. At first I wasn't leaving India in the nappies as long as I would our other brand just in case she had some sort of reaction and after the first day I did notice a little rash on her tutti frutti but we applied some sudocrem and I've not had the need to do so since. The nappies are really absorbant, a lot more absorbant than what I imagined and after 12 hours sleep I was slightly nervous about a wet bed and we've not had that so great stuff Aldi. We've had no problems with wet nappies or poopy nappies and I think the overall quality and value are great, even when I take them off to put a new one on the tabs still work to keep them sealed to stop anything coming out. Will definitely be adding these to our shopping list ... Member review by Victoria - mum to two

"They were great." We have & are still using the aldi nappies. On 1st impression they were well padded & very soft inside. With Krissi they hold both liquid & solid in place very well, inc the night time nappy. This one is on her from about 6.50, just before we put her to bed, to 8.30 in when she gets up. She has only had 1 rash from these nappies but I think that was a sweat rash as she was running around a lot that day. Krissi is also prone to getting nappy rash on her bum with other brands but hasn't had any so far with the aldi ones. So in all I think they are great! "Great value!" I use washable nappies with my children, so it got a bit of getting used to to use disposables. They were very easy to use though. Really easy to fit on both of my children. Alice is 2 1/2 and only wears nappies at night and William is 7 months and in nappies full time.
The nappies themselves are really stretchy, so the one size will fit on both of my children, which was good. I never had a leak with them either.
I thought they were a good price and if I were a disposable user I would probably switch brands as they seem cheaper than their competitors. Member review by Holly - Mum to Alice and William

"WOW - LOVE THEM" I received a pack of nappies for each of my girls, and tried them out straight away. Like others have said they were hard to get out of the pack especially when you have arthritis in your hands but once I got them out was impressed how soft they felt and how they have stretchy tabs & a nice little picture on them.
Amelia christened hers with a nice poo poo I was expecting it to be leaking out of her nappy but was impressed to find it was all in the nappy. The fit around the legs was a lot better than Pampers, Amelia has chunky thighs. Lilli seemed happy in hers, there was a little rash but more where the waist band was, I put some sudocrem on and it was fine. No leakages at all, very impressed.
Ive recommended them to all my friends and will def be buying some for my girls in the future.

"not for us" I received these to test on my 19mth old son charlie.
They are very soft and look nice.
I have used them solidly for about a week. They have leaked twice in that time.
After 3 days continuous wear charlie started to get sore. The soreness cleared up overnight using a nappy rash cream, but without the cream, the soreness is flaring up again day after day. I can only assume it is something used within the nappy.
The overall appearance is very good and they are good value for money, but they are not suitable for us.

"Good value" When I first opened the nappies I was quite impressed with how they looked. They looked a lot like the premium nappies with cute little patterns, stretchy sides & refastenable tabs. I did notice that they were a little more bulky than my usual brand but that didn't put me off.
I tried them on my 7 month old & the fit was great, both around his waist & legs, just like his usual nappies. He seemed comfortable enough in them too. Unfortunately though, after using the nappies for a day he started developing a rash so I stopped using them. He has never had nappy rash before, he's only ever been a little red - never a rash. Not sure if it was something in the nappies making a reaction on his skin, but since applying a nappy cream & going back to his usual brand he has been fine. Maybe he just has very sensitive skin, whatever the reason, these nappies aren't for him, but that wouldn't stop me from recommending friends to try them as they may be ok for their little ones!

"Good Nappies" It took me a while to get them out of the packet as they were quite tightly packed. I have only used Pampers and Huggies before and was curious how these one's would compare. My daughter is a VERY ACTIVE 6 month old and I cannot keep her still for 2 mins. The nappies fitted well and she looked comfy in them as they felt more padded than other nappies.
Everything was great in the pee department but I'm afraid the poo department was a different story.
I had about 5 out of the packet that leaked and the poo went all up her back and down her legs. At first I though I wasn't putting them on tight enough but I was. I would like to point out that I have the same problem with Huggies and Pampers too though and feel that it may not be the nappy that is at fault. I feel that my daughter is a bit of a wriggler and wrestler and that may have contributed to this.
I felt these nappies were the same quality as Pampers and Huggies and I felt they were more padded for their little bums. Member review by Amanda - Mother of 6 Month Old

"excellent nappies" When i recieved the nappies i wasnt expecting them to be great as i tend to use the pampers. But i will be switching brands to the Aldi Mamia brand.
They are great quality, comfortable for little bottoms and no leaks.
I was lucky enough to test these on my youngest 2 (4 months n 21 months as they are both in same size nappies). After a few sleepless nights, tiredness caught up and my 4 months slept from 9pm-11.30am. I was dreading how wet she was gonna be, but her clothes were totally dry - i was amazed. I would definatly recommend these nappies over the bigger brands, as i feel they are stronger at holding the urine etc. Member review by vicky - mum of 5

"good value nappies" The only disposables nappies that Ive used are Pampers and Huggies. I was very surprised at the quality of the mamia nappies. They were very soft, a little bulkier than the others Ive used. The nappies were also on the large size (might be Chloe isnt ready for size 4 nappies yet) So they didnt fit well on the waist as they were a bit big. The fit around the legs was really good. There were no leaks, no nappy rash and Chloe seems very happy to be using them so they must be comfortable to wear. I did find the nappies hard to get out of the bag as they were very tightly packed. Over all a very good value nappy that I would use again. Member review by Kerrey - mum to Laura 16, Bren 15 &Chloe 7 months

"good value" we have been using these nappies for a few days now and found them to be very absorbent and appear to be comfortable.
they are good value for money.
two points i would like to make is the nappies were too tightly packed and a bit hard to get out,
also the nappies seem a bit wide and appeared to be a bit bulky between my sons legs
overall a great value nappy that i would use again Member review by julie - julie, mum to 4 including a 3 month old baby

"Nice Suprise" After swearing only to use Pampers (at night and days out) and re-useable nappies on my little man I think I may have been converted. They feel softer than Pampers! I'm always very cautious as what goes on to Joshuas skin as he has really sensitive skin, but these didn't irritate him at all in fact his skin and bottom has never looked better. Very impressed. "Good Value" 1st appearances they looked good and felt very soft. They lasted the 12 hours Ruby sleeps at night and never leaked. She was happy to wear them so they must have been comfortable.
Sadly tonight I had to get her off to the dr as the nappies flared up a terrible rash on her fou fou!
Nothing to do that it was a cheaper nappy as last time it was pampers active fit she had a reaction too. Dont know if something in the nappy triggered anything or if it was a coincidence or not but I am not using any more on her just in case.
I would still try them again as it might have NOT been the nappy that gave her a rash and would recommend them to friends.

"Great" Well the nappies arrived for me to test first thing in the morning. I used them throughout the day and the big test - overnight. I am happy to report no leakages what-so-ever!! My son sleeps 7-7 and the nappy lasted the 12 hours. They are soft to the touch, unlike other brands that are stiff and bulky. I would happily go out and buy them and feel confident there would be no leakages and my son would be comfy in a soft, absorbant nappy. Thank you Aldi for allowing me to test these nappies. :-) Member review by Sara - Mum to Jacob

"Absolutely no leakage" I have been a Pampers Active fit Mum for 4 years now and admit to being a bit snobby when it came to the Aldi brand (although I do most of my shopping there now!). I thought I'd give them a go last month and can't believe I havn't tried them before. They just don't leak at all, my little boy has been very poorly so you can imagine what the nappies would be like and they really are brilliant. Maybe not as stretchy around the waist as the Active fit but it doesn't seem to worry Archie and there aren't any marks from them being too tight. Will be recommending to all the mum's I know. "Great buy!" I was a bit unsure as too try these as had tried some from lidi which proved to be awful! However, after reading reviews on here, I bought a pack of size 2's. I was very suprised by the quality and fit. They stayed dry for hours and no leaks or 'smells'! The only disappointment was the promise of an indicator of when nappy is wet. Not that you need one, but the blue writing didn't fade when the nappy was even really wet as it stated it would! Hope no mum would be daft enough to go by nappy changes by this, but some new ones just might! Would however buy again if in shop. "Absolutely brilliant" I have tried Pampers, Huggies, Sainsburys (basically pampers), Boots (basically pampers), Toys R Us (basically huggies), Superdrug (basically huggies), Tesco (basically huggies) and had toyed with idea of using Aldi nappies for some time, but my partner was unsure. I used to prefer the Huggie type nappies because of the snug fit around the waist and minimum leakage. My general requirements for nappies are a snug fit so no leakage, good absorbancy, and comfort. These nappies tick all my boxes. I am amazed that the nappy does well in overnight testing as well as minimum bulkiness and a very snug fit around the waist comfortable around the legs without being too tight. As a preferred user of the Huggie type nappy, I have been converted by Mamia. I also use the wipes and nappy sacks. Fantastic range and I can't wait for them to start making food too! "Pleasant Surprise" Momentarily putting aside my innate brand snobbery, it was with trepidation that we embarked on this trial.
However, the product is excellent. A more than fair price, and more importantly NO leakage (of any substance) due to snug fit round my daughter's legs. (No mean feat as Evie sports a particularly slender leg for a 5 month old). Alongside this, efficient sticky tape for tummy bit and not all bulky round the bottom.
As my husband identified ..... "this is the best nappy for Evie to date". Member review by Judith - Evie's mum
