"Eye opening!"
I was very sceptical about this book and thought it wouldnt tell me anything that i didnt already know. I was however surprised. It contained a few good ideas of how to increase your families fruit & veg intake without really knowing it and being sneeky! I didnt realise that potatoes dont really count towards your 5 a day. The recipies were helpful and the portion guide was great as i thought they should be a lot more. What may have lacked however is how to prepare and cook a lot of unfamiliar veg as i find you tend to stick to what you know and knowing how to prepare other foods and what they go with may increase your intake, eg, ive never cooked fennel or butternut squash.
Overall i think its a good eye opener and help you be realistic about changing youe eating habbits.

"Great for fuss pots!"
I thought I wouldnt use this book when i first got it as 2 of my kids are really fussy eaters, but it was great.
They love helping out now, and even ask to eat from the book!
The products required for all the recipes are products that are readily available at all supermarkets too.

"Brill tips and recipes."
I found the tips excellent. Tried them with all my family including the 'I don't eat anything green' teenagers.....result...it worked! and I even found the older girls having a look through the recipes. As for the little ones, it worked wonders. We have all eaten better since I received this book. The book is 'mapped' out very well, easy to find sections. There are a lot of good help guides for parties, lunch boxes etc. The recipes are very easy to follow, and I even had the older ones making some too. I enjoyed this book, didn't think I would to begin with if I'm honest, but was surprised how well everyone took to the very slight but achievable changes we made to our daily diet. In all a fab book that is not only for kids but for the whole family!!!!

"Good variety"
I enjoyed this book and the children enjoyed the Bean Wraps, especially making them themselves! It gave a good variety of dishes but felt it was perhaps written by a vegetarian who relunctantly put some meat dishes in. I may be wrong but overall it's a nice little book, perhaps some pictures could be introduced for those having a quick flick through in a book shop?

"Some good ideas and useful info!"
I will be honest, I was a little unsure about this book only because I know my eldest son (nearly 4) and how picky he is with his food! However I thought I would give it a go and tried the Orange mash, and it was all eaten!!!! So huge bonus points for that one!
The book has a very friendly feel to it when reading it, it comes acros as giving advice more than saying "your child should be eating this and that". It has a useful chart in it that breaks down how much of what fruit and veg is a portion for different ages from 1 all the way to 12. I also found the section on what is not considered as a portion of fruit and veg interesting too.
There is a suggested meal planner at the back that shows you how easy it is to have them eating their fruit and veg without huge effort, and there is alot of recepies that cover a wide range of food.
Lastly there is also a section covering how to try and get your child out of being fussy and not eating which I have found quite useful. All in all I would recommend this book and hope to be using it alot more in the future.
