| Tollhouse Cookies by Jaidynsmum |
| Serves: makes 24 |

| Ingredients: |

4oz butter or margarine
2oz granulated sugar
3oz dark brown sugar
1 egg (beaten)
0.5tsp vanilla essence
4.5oz plain flour
0.5tsp bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
6oz of chocolate chips
2oz chopped walnuts

| Method: |
Preheat oven to 180 c/gas mk 4.
Grease two baking sheets
Cream together the butter and sugars
Gradually beat in the egg and vanilla
Sieve in the flour, bicarb and salt, stir until blended
Add the chocolate and nuts and mix thoroughly
PLace heaped teaspoonfuls 2ins apart on the sheets
Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly coloured
Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool
