 Disgraced Celebrity Big Brother star Jade Goody has been left "absolutely devastated" after having a miscarriage. The mother-of-two was just under 12 weeks pregnant when she lost the child she was expecting with 19-year-old boyfriend Jack Tweed.

Along with the snazzy print, the pushchair also has bright pink stitching and a gold frame. Since they launched the new model, it's been flying out of the stores. Both the parents whose children died through carbon monoxide poisoning on holiday in Corfu are expecting babies this January. Christi, 7 and Bobby, 6 were killed when they were overcome by fumes at their holiday apartment. Now their father and mother both of whom have new partners are both expecting new babies at the same time. Father Neil Shepherd told The Sun that his girlfriend Ruth and his ex-wife Sharon are both expecting babies in January: 'It will not bring back Christi and Bobby, and we will never forget them but it is lovely to think there will be two new lives to celebrate.'

Six London binmen ended up in hospital this week after they were overcome from the fumes caused by stinky nappies. The five refuse collectors and one street cleaner were taken to hospital after reacting badly to the contents of a bin bag which had split, spilling what appeared to them to be a toxic liquid. Happily for the men involved, the only toxic chemical in question was caused by a reaction between the bag's normal rubbish and some smelly nappies. A spokeswoman told reporters: 'It appears that ammonia from nappies had mixed with some kind of chemical and caused this scare.'
Jamie Lee Curtis says US mothers have relinquished their responsibilities and are now paying the price. She says that children are "running amok or sitting amok as they watch TV and play electronic games and shop on eBay." In particular she makes reference to three celebrities thought to be Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan saying; that the three popular women- "have ended in prison, rehab and mental illness. I hope their mothers are worried sick and wondering, "What could I have done differently?" And our culture should be asking the same question too." Curtis writes. 'Where did our children get the message that the rules don't apply to them? And where did we, the Mothers, get the message that if we abdicate our responsibilities as Mothers, the Universe will do our job for us? Alert over faulty pregnancy tests. Tens of thousands of women may have to re-take pregnancy tests after a manufacturer revealed that a small batch used in UK hospitals were faulty. It is believed up to 44 "Clearview HCG" tests could wrongly indicate that a woman is not pregnant. Any woman who was given one of the tests in hospital has been asked to seek medical advice, or test themselves again using an over-the-counter kit. The faulty tests were part of a batch of 83,000 sent to hospitals. The faulty batch, made by US firm Inverness Medical Innovations and distributed in the UK by Unipath, could have been used between March and June this year. The company has written to 50 hospitals in the UK that use the product, warning them of the possible "false negative" result. The test is only supplied to hospitals, and similar tests made by Inverness Medical for sale at pharmacies are not affected.
Model Eva Herzigova, 34, and her boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj have just become first time parents. Eva gave birth in Torin in Italy. Eva's labor and delivery were without complication, and the baby arrived just before 10 pm. He weighed in at over 9 lbs and is 20.5 inches long. We await the name announcement with bated breath!

As anyone who's given birth knows, the last few days of pregnancy have you on tenterhooks worrying about when exactly you might go into labour. Now, thanks to a group of British doctors, a cunning new device called the POLO (Prediction of Labour Onset) has been created to take the guesswork out of the waiting game. It works by analysing electronic signs that pass across the uterine muscle. The rate of these signals increases when labour is imminent. POLO can be used from any point after 32 weeks and has been designed to use at home. The bad news is that POLO is currently a prototype and not available in the shops yet.
