Anna Nicole's partner Howard Stern was given custody by a court in the Bahamas, but the tests have revealed that her former boyfriend Larry Birkhead is actually Dannielynn's father. When grandmother Mandy Davidson, 45, began to get hot flushes, she put it down to her age and assumed she'd started the menopause. Only when a niggling back pain she had been feeling for a few weeks suddenly got much worse during a lunch break at work that she realised what was really going on. Within 5 hours she had given birth to a healthy 8lb 1oz son, Alfie. It was just as much of a shock for Kevin, her husband of 27 years.

Mrs Davidson from Norfolk, had refused to worry about her symptoms - the flushes, the back pain, a bloated sensation and some mild weight gain - and continued her job as a nursery worker at a centre for autistic children. She didn't even go to her doctor. She didn't put much weight on - certainly not enough to think that she could be 40 weeks pregnant! She felt ripple-like sensations at various points but not the kicks she had experienced with her other pregnancies. She only recognised the signs of labour when her niggling back ache became unearable.......then she knew she was in labour!

Mrs Davidson, has two grown-up children, Victoria, 25 and Phillip, 26, as well as a seven-year-old grandson, Owen. It is also her second surprise birth as seven years ago she had a daughter, Harriet who died from diabetes aged two. Mandy and Kevin are now coming to terms with their unplanned return to parenthood.

'Can't any f******* women give birth naturally?' Three days into her labour, Samantha Smart finally gave up on her hope that her third baby would be born without intervention. But she certainly didn't expect the reaction from one of the team attending her C-section. Faced with the news that she would be having a caesarian, the anaesthetist's assistant allegedly said; 'Can't any f***ing woman in this f***ing hospital have babies naturally nowadays.'
Other hospital staff reported this agency member of staff for his behaviour and he won't be employed again by the hospital in Newham.
You just can't get the staff, can you?

Baby Girl for Spice Girl Melanie Brown. Scary Spice, aka Melanie Brown, has given birth to a baby at the centre of a paternity issue. Mel B had the little girl – her second daughter – in Santa Monica.
The unnamed baby, weighed in at a healthy 5lbs, 6 oz, has a good head of hair and is 18 inches long! Apparently it was a straightforward birth without complications. Confusion surrounds Baby Brown's paternity – Mel B has stated that she believes funny man Eddie Murphy to be her daughter's father, but he has made it known that the matter is far from clear.

Computer-related injuries for children are increasing, while injuries usually assoviated with childhood, such as falling out of trees, are decreasing.
The NHS Hospital Episode Statistics shows that the number of children injured after falling out of trees fell by more than a third between 1999 and 2006 but the number of children affected with RSI rose by 35% with 577 children going to hospital last year with injuries associated with playing too many computer games.
'Climbing trees and falling out of them is all part of growing up and having small injuries helps children learn about risks,' said a spokesperson for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
