Drink Coffee and Raise Funds

Meningitis Trust Coffee Break Campaign

Between the 19th and the 30th March, people all over the UK will be helping to make a difference in an instant by holding a Coffee Break in aid of The Meningitis Trust.

Last year thousands joined this highly successful event that has already raised over £1m for the Trust, which supports families whose lives have been affected by meningitis. The Meningitis Trust is appealing to groups of friends, work colleagues, clubs and societies, to help make this year’s event the most successful yet, and is providing fundraising packs which include a step-by-step guide to the day, invitations and posters… even free coffee! Supporters of the event this year include consultants from Virgin Vie at Home, who will be helping to organise Coffee Breaks alongside their parties. Other company sponsors include babywear specialist, New Family Shop, Focus DIY and Quintessential luxury apartments who are offering a chance to win a luxury weekend in Cheltenham Spa for every Coffee Break organiser raising over £200.

Sian Jones of The Meningitis Trust says: “You can make a Coffee Break as simple or as adventurous as you like – that’s the fun part of one of our most popular fundraising events. It’s the perfect excuse to invite your friends around for a get together, have a themed day at work, or indulge with speciality coffees after a dinner party. It really is as easy as putting the kettle on.”

The money raised from this event will help The Meningitis Trust to continue to fight meningitis in many important ways, from providing support for thousands of people across the UK living with the after-effects of this disease, to educating both the general public and professionals about the signs and symptoms of meningitis.
